Before explaining the party and my personal position in the matter concerning President O'Floinn and Mr. Julseau, I would like to apologise. I now realise that I should have repeated in public the warnings and advice I gave to the president. Yes indeed, the RD and myself did not remain idle after the presidents actions. Mere hours after the events occurred, I was in personal contact with the president about the actions he had taken. He clearly indicated that it was not his intention that Mr. Julseau was imprisoned, and he confirmed that the man would be released as soon as possible.
Now, if you had know this like you have should - again, I apologise -, would you still be standing here, protesting because I did not stand up and call out my friend and partner John O'Floinn? I promised him my personal support, and because I was satisfied by his answers - which have by now been supported by the facts - I did not feel the need to crack down on him in public. He was under enough stress as it was, and I am not one to gain personal clout on the problems of another.
I would like end by saying that I realise my mistake in communicating our party position, and I will remember this in the future. I am now retiring to my office, and every single one of you who still has something to say, is welcome to come up and speak his mind. I thank you for your participation and care for how your party acts, and I encourage you to visit more often - Perhaps in a slightly more relaxed atmosphere though.
