I have a private LAN with a SMC 7004 AWBR Router on a dsl Line.
The Router uses NAT for the private network with Firmware 1.95n.

And here starts the problem. I cant either join or host a MP Game. This is also true if i am setting the machine as the DMZ machine and open ALL tcp and udp ports.
:(

I have a LAN and I have not opened all the ports on my router and I can play accros the net.

Try doing what the thread suggests, and if that doesn't help I'll try to help you

It depends on where the router is... Hook the DSL directly into the main computer. From the Ethernet card in the main computer hook the LAN cord to a hub. Use the hub to distribute to the other computers. It should work just fine.

Router Problems

OK Prince Eugene,

its an interesting idea, but that kicks off the usefullness of a router with a firewall especially if there is a wlan accesspoint built in.

I think kurtbrian you have a good idea. I have set the different ports in my router, but i have the problem testing it.

So i´d like to take your offer for help.

ICQ is 334876769
