To all Conservative Monarchists of Eutopia.

I invite you to the first meeting of the CMB, the Conservative Monarchist Board. We are here to discuss possible and realistic means of bringing monarchy to Eutopia and moving the country away from a state-controlled economy.

Our current programs and goals are the following-

Create reasonable objective based program for returning monarchy to Eutopia.

Design a conservative platform.

Discuss future plans for CMB meetings.

Anyway, the CC would gladly help with destroying state control eceonomic elements in Eutopia.

This is not a party. This is mearly a meeting place for Eutopian monarchists with a more conservative standpoint than the one proposed by the CRE. Here we can organize thoughts and come up with ideas.

We already have ERO Eutopias Royalist Organisation do we really need another one?

There is a difference.

The ERO is a multi-party organization with the SOLE purpose of bringing monarchists together. The CRE is a party which bases itself on the combination of left politics and monarchy. This leaves conservatives isolated, and thats what this board is for. It is for discussing that very aspect of Eutopian politics. Conservative monarchists

Sorry but I don't understand the differences... both CMB and ERO is party free organisations and want to reinstall the monarchy

Hmm, maybe we could do this in co operation with the Conservative Coalition? Of course the CC's main aim isn't to reinstate monarchy but the members of the CC don't see a monarchy as a threat to the well being of Eutopia and it's citizens.

No what I think he is doing is just trying to rally Monarchists who are tied up about your leftist social stance and don't want to join the CRE because the believe in economic liberalism etc...

Exactly. Because the CRE is such a left party, it isolates some monarchists both from the CRE and I think, from the ERO. The ERO is policy free, however, the CMB is not, this organization is based on the idea that a conservative policy is better than a Socialist policy.

We would be interested in working with the CC in creating a Conservative pool of ideas. This is not a party, but as Banér put it, it is to find out how much interest for a more conservative stance on monarchy there is out there.

Adam Julseau, we have cooporated before, I wonder do you know of any CC members, or non-CC members who could be considered conservative monarchists?

Well I'm not anti monarchy... As a conservative of course I do believe that a monarch gives a nation more stability than an elected president but I also see how a bad monarch can be worse.

Personally I am not-anti monarchy, but not pro-monarchy either, I see the pro's and the con's of monarchy.
A monarch with little to no power,
(such as the British Monarchy who only real powers are to decide who the Prime Minister is in the unlikely event of a tie in the General Elections, and also all legislation passed throuh the House of Commons has to be signed by the Monarch, although no monarch has refused to sign for about 200 years now)
also with limitations on budget, we dont want a king or queen draining our budget.
A monarch could be a good thing, a symbol of national unity, a representive of our nation abroad etc... But let us not forget the reign of King Thomas "God has given us the kingship, let us then enjoy it!" and also King Edward IV, they spent our nations money and brought shame to our nation.

Eh? Was talking about the pro's and con's of a monarch here.
On the subject though, the Bloody British Monarchy are a bit of a drain on their nation, just look at Prince Charles' ever so hard life, how does he cope with such little money?

OOC: I don't see a communications thread for this organization, so I'll post here.

IC: I'm glad to see another civic minded organization pop up. It is well known that I am not a supporter of the monarchy, particularly the monarchy as envisioned by the CRE. Please see the Eutopian Progressive Party's platform for a detailed expression of my views on the crown.

That said, I would like to see where this organization stands on various social and economic issues, and if there is a similarity in beliefs, I can forsee a spirit of cooperation between the CMB and EPP.

That is just my point. I called all those, even remotely interested in monarchy, to join the board, and discuss. We can develope what we consider the best policies for a conservative monarchy. Such issues as expenditures can be solved by limiting their pay, or having parliamentary permission for large spending.
