i will probably start up a new paper soon. probalby using a republican theme for the name.
hopefully the little mis-cue in things will be fully rectified soon and the CC membership back to full and growing.

but when it comes to an election alliance we should create a 2-4 point long list for our agenda. which i belive high on that would be military reform, in the style that best benefits the military, not some leftist politicians ideas of a "good" military. afterall a democracy is only safe when its military, of the people is capable of defending it from any enemies foreign and domestic.
also cracking down on domestic violence/revolutionary groups with anti-terrorist bills would be important. while its good to consider the environment, EUtopia isnt exactly a big cause of any damage to the earth.

Our party is largely back up to strength, and I am confident the elections will prove that.

Here is a concrete proposal for a government set up by the CC-RD-MP coalition (if such a coalition comes to bear).

Also there is a possibility the ESRP would want to join the aforementioned coalition. How open are you guys to working with them?

Personally, I respect party chairman, Josephus, but the rest of their party seems to filled with idealogical warriors who are not interested in effective government, but in controversial debates. There would be serious problems coming up with a common platform, but if they are willing to listen to reason and compromise such a coalition would easily win.

Good point. Lt. Hartwell, could you give us any specific reasons why you think the military is better suited for this task than a police force or intelligence/investigative agency?

cos the police force is tiny and there is no intelligence organisation in eutopia nor is there likely to be one anytime soon.

and i'm in the miliatry and i like the idea of being a counter terrorist soldier.

also the miltary usually has the advantage of superior training facilities and funding. In Australia our CTU is part of the military attached to the SAS which is currently in Iraq.

important note. if a left alliance is formed with ESRP-RD-MP do we burn the MP also in any thing we say and do we totaly oppose legislation or what? since if that occurs we will be an outside party. and should we take the noble route for this election or all switch our pres votes to the CRE if it gives their president the win just to upshow the left alliance and try to fracture it?

personaly if the MP goes into favour of a left alliance i say while certain members can be called friend the party as a whole will have shown little care for any rightist ideas and therefore sacrificed its moderate stance, for power in a left alliance.
we need not comment that the ESRP is again showing no logic and little interest in the commen well-being of EUtopia as a whole, and that if it again forms a leftest alliance the RD is only sliding further into radicalism and irrelevancy(in such as it might as well be a socialist party itself if it continues with the path it seems to be on).

not that the bill isnt important but here we need to work on election strategy and election issues also, for if a left alliance rules, any bill we favour might as well be forgoten, no matter its benefits to EUtopia since it would not pass parliament.

Mr. Lundgren: I honestly hope and believe the MP will not abandon the center simply for the sake of power. If this broad coalition falls through ( I hope it doesn't), I believe there is a strong possiblity of a MP-CC alliance.

If they do move ahead without us, I would seriously listen to proposals from the CRE. A MP-ESRP-RD alliance would be dominated by the left and the MP's voice would be severely muted. I think they realize they would become the junior member of such an alliance.

As far as election strategies regarding running against the MP, let's cross that bridge when we come to it. Hopefully we never will. I respect Jack Teano and think there is a lot of common ground between our parties. I know he feels the same way.

Col. Hartwell: HJ Tulip has proposed a similar idea. I think both proposals are good ideas and could become part of a larger reform of the military, but that won't realistically happen until after the elections. Should we wait and form a larger more comprehensive military package, or try and get this piece of action done as soon as possible? Anyone feel free to respond.

unless we have an exact plan there is no real effective way to achive a new big military bill before elections are done/under way. best to prepare one to our liking and submit it after election results, depending on the political landscape of parliament of course.

we should try to squeze a tiny bit of reform in but most things should be waited on.

I too believe in squashing the concept of a CRE alliance, thier stances on taxation and nationalization are completely polar from our own. The moderate party will join us based on how individual MP's vote. (remember, it's about getting the bills passed, not only getting a majority in Parliment.) Remember that the foundation of the Moderate Party is the fact that they don't like Party control over individual choices.

I think we should present a comprehensive military bill after the elections.

As a former member of the CRE i would suggest against an alliance with them, they care only for the monarchy and their titles. Many of the posts in their hq are about the correct spelling of their names or titles!

If everyone is ok with it, i'll head up the cc security forces.

on second thought maybe the best way to go about military reform would be to get parliament to form a commision of military officers and reps from each party.

the members of each service could submit proposals for what they would like to see in their particular branch of the military.

the commision could then write a bill for parliament.

This way all areas of the military would have a chance to have their views requirements heard equally and all views could be rolled into one comprohensive bill.

Col. Hartwell: I had a similar idea for once the elections are over, of course it all depends on who wins what. For now, I think we should focus on my Anti-Terror Bill and work on major reform and modernization of the military after the elections.

There is a closed meeting of all non monarchist parties to discuss the possiblity of a coalition. Please drop by and share your thoughts.

well i currently head up security, unofficialy though as i just took it upon myself to make sure the HQ was guarded.

if you desire you may now take over security officialy, all but my privite guards of course.
the full security force here includes about 150 members, though only about 30 are ever in the building at once normaly, however there is a guarded-secure stock of arms if the case is ever needed, as well as a security center that also is linked to the various security cameras in and around the building.

well as good the intention of it was i am begining to think the atempted alliance doesnt have a leg to stand on. there is too much bad blood between many party members and it doesnt appear anything concrete is workable in the next few hours. what will occur i know not but a grand alliance just is not seeming possible and it might be best to just start working on our election campaign solo and work out what can be worked out after elections. i am not against trying to get this alliance to work but at this late hour we should take care of our own business as best we can.

and and i didnt say totaly give up on alliances with parties, just that we need to think about ourselves since a good deal of the people we would be to ally with have not shown a great deal of hospitality.
