I've been away on vacation for a while, so it's taken me a while to get caught up on things.
I have always been in somewhat reluctant favor of the CPR, as it seemed to be the best way to accomplish anything in such a divided Parliamentary situation. I know that it is quite cliche'ish, but "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em."
However, the CPR isn't actually getting anything accomplished. Compounded by the dictatorial arrest and imprisonment of Mr. Jarreau [sic] (OOC: Has he even been charged yet? Whatever happened to the writ of habeas corpus...), I feel that we have no choice but to leave the CPR and throw our cards with the CRE, with whom we are much more compatible ideologically. I have not received the impression that many of us are opposed to the concept of a monarchy in principle, and it is essentially only this concept that separates us from the CRE, while I do not think our differences with the rest of the CPR need mentioning.
Thus, my vote is cast to leave the CPR by the next election.

I agree. Stuff the CPR. Let those tree huggers make love all they want. The CC is a series party with serious policies lets go out there and make them heard.
if the cc leaves the cpr it is likely we lose the MILE. we do actualy gain freedom of movement but should also take steps to help secure the speaker position. leave the deputy speaker who he is and avoid jumping right into bed with the monarchs. we dont want to make the cpr hate us so soon. there are many fine people there and if it doesnt fracture they are still the governing body of this country. while i have no problems working with the CRE a complete alliance so soon... i can not agree with. for 1 it alienates anyone in the cpr who has anything good to say about the cpr and 2 it almost looks planned/pre-arranged.

Let me clarify my last post. I think that we should not continue with the CPR into the Fifth Parliament, for reasons already stated ("...leave the CPR by the next election."). However, since we campaigned for the Fourth Parliament as members of the CPR, it makes little sense that we leave it immediately--we gain nothing by leaving it now, but only lose all moderating effects on it, as the CPR will still have a 7-5 majority without us.

We need to propose some human rights bill that makes it illegal to just be arrested by that dictator, also rights so that you cant just be thrown in eutopia Jail without a trial, and fair treatment etc... We need to clip the dictators wings!

Scanning over the of party records, i could not discover when MR. Langley was chosen to represent our party in the Commission for higher education reform. Given his lack of participation in the Commision, I believe that as an educator, I could be more active in the CHER. This is an important commision, and should not be ignored.
quit stalling? i am not the party leader.... i cant withdraw the cc from an alliance. i am just another CC member.
