Hi,
I have thought of an enhancement...
When the attacker and defender end up in the same province the defenders should become PoWs

E.g. Attacker (A) defeats defenders (B) and because A gets into the province before B can retreat (A maybe be motorised), some soldiers form B are taken prisoner.

This would affect the strength of B and increase the Morale of A.

What are your thoughts?

I thing POWs are banned from game, the same as terror bombing, holokaust, swastikas...

If it was made impossible to do any harm to the prisoners, I don't see how building POW camps but being unable to hurt would differ from being able to build strategic bombers but being unable to target civilians.

In some occasions, it would be really neat to get back some manpower due the release of POWs. Post-war SU would gain helluvalot MP after annexing Germany, since the vast majority of their losses came (and comes) from pocketed units who lose their org and disappear, =surrender instead of dying in the fight.

POW camps is a forbidden subject, but I think the fact that we have or have not forced the surrender of enemy units is fair game, but I would reserve that to cases where divisions are destroyed due to 1) successful attack on an encircled unit 2) possession of the province the enemy is retreating to. In each case they are removed from the game and it is safe to assume that this represents them surrendering. I'd personally like to see a popup that "X number of units have surrendered" or something to that effect.

Yeah but why would you need to anyhow. The SU never has any MP problems.

The retreating defender, although in the same province, might still be way ahead of the attacker for any type of encirclement to take place.

I do see you point. Maybe instead of having POW's just have the units lose strength while they are in retreat mode (to simulate desertions, POW's and unmoveable wounded)
