I realize this will raise flags for moderation, but it is a serious post. Some fellow I imprisoned 2-3 years ago for plotting against me, and then revolting, has just had some Count intercede for him for the second time. The first time I refused since all options led to negatives for me. I looked him up this time and was amazed to see he had a daughter. A ONE-YEAR-OLD daughter. I'm going to have a talk with those prison guards.

Characters in prison suffer because their diplomacy will be next to none, though children can be born in prison and if their mothers are in prison so will their children be.

Also I advise you to change the title to: "Getting children while in Prison"

Someone should've been a Byzantine. You get to castrate your prisoners.... unfortunately they then get set free. I usually do it instead of revoking titles, then next time they rebel {guaranteed since the opinion malus is like -40}, I blind them. If they do it a third time, I take their land directly.

The mother was not in prison, only him.

Done.

I meant what would happen IF it was the MOTHER that would've been in jail, if the father is in jail he can get children but they won't be in prison I believe

Is this for real? Why can't western groups do this? Seems fun.

To OP, check the child, could've been illegitimate.

Look at his kid's birthday there's a fairly good chance if your guy's been in prison for two years and the kid is one years old that his wife was knocked up around the time he screwed up and got imprisoned possibly the night before of all things.

Just saying, it doesn't sound to me like he got her pregnant in prison. Never seen it happen before and I have some doubts, she was probably pregnant before hand. So........

she could've been preggy for 3years

Hm? Guy's been in prison for 2 years. Let's say he goes to prison on January 1, 1100. On December 31st, he gets his wife pregnant. Baby is born on September 31, 1100. On January 1, 1102, he's been in prison for 2 years. The baby is 1 year and 3 months old, so her age on her character card says 1.

You didn't change the title of the thread in the forum, only the title of your first post within the thread. Needless to say, after the unexpected question yesterday about assassination with manure piles, seeing this thread topic is worthy of the Egyptian ROFLpyramid.

I dunno, because it was a Byzantine thing? It's quite fun cleaving your way through the Muslims, removing their dangly bits as you go. Question, I remember learning that Roman generals would hang the severed penii of their enemies off of their chariots.... sort of like rabbits feet. Any idea when they stopped doing that?

Exactly,

The kid could even be 1 year 11 months and 29 days old and the character sheet would say what? Oh yes 1 year old :) Just saying check the bday and do the math.

Probably right around the time they stopped being completely creepy and insane?

So, never? Crazy Roman forms of punishment continued under the Byzantines, like that fun one where they stick you in a leather sack with a rooster, monkey, dog, and a snake then toss you into the sea. Seems rather elaborate for death by drowning.... I wonder what the significance is?

According to this delightful thesis it meant that you wouldn't get a proper burial, and so was more of an insult to dignity than just being beheaded.
