Priority for monarch points?(National Focus) Gone? why? AND art of war slowdown?

1) why has National Focus for monarch points gone?? i LOVED that feature it gave me control of my country. It felt like i was sending my country into a certain direction, it was really empowering.

2) what has happened to the game speed?(performance) 4 or 5 speed how has a constant stutter.(cpu i7 3.8ghz 12gb ram) i tweaked the ingame settings and i can't seem to stop it. it doesn't feel like its as design as its a stutter like a framedrop. its really infuriating. it hinders the enjoyment of the game. i love to blast onto 5 speed and fly though the months now i can't.

I was in RR, and quite a lot of ppl have performance issues. Next hotfix should fix it. Alsoo, national focus works for me.

The performance issues are unfortunate. I haven't experienced them but my laptop is pretty beefy. Still, even with Paradox's assurances that they'd do what they could to reduce performance impact with AoW, I was always skeptical given how many provinces they added.

National focus is working. I´m using the beta, however.

Some performance decrease is expected due to more AI nations and provinces.

The performance issues are a tech support issue specific to some machines. Please post your information in the tech support forum if you can, following AndrewT's instructions.

Markedly superior computers (i7's with 16+ GB RAM and a solid graphics card) are rapidly slowing to over 10 seconds/month. However, that isn't happening to everyone. Patch 1.8 broke something but they don't know what yet.

Monarch focus works for me. I also haven't experienced any notable performance issues - only when I start the game it takes just a bit more to load, nothing else, and I've got a good computer(Fx-6350 X6, 8 GB RAM and Radeon R7 265 2 GB VRAM; I also play on speed 4). As TMIT said, there's probably something broken in the patch, but it only affects some computers(who all vary in their build), while for others everything's fine.

National focus is a feature from the Res Publica expansion, not from Art of War.

I had the insane lag and slowdown on speed 5 but after I purchased all the dlc it fixed the lag and actually started to perform better. The lag that people are having could be because they don't have the new dlc or some other dlc that just makes it work, or it co of just be arbitrary on who gets the lag.

Then I bought Art of War

Now it runs fine

as everybody else before me wrote the national focus still works... you might be missing a dlc or something.

i am one of the lucky ones that has no performance issues at all. it works exactly like 1.7 used to work even though my cpu is 2,5 years old. hope they will be able to fix it for unfortunate people too because i'm loving the 1.8 + art of war changes and everybody should play the game now!

Yes.
