The Grand Prince sits on his throne. Fingers of his hand joined together, he is in deep thought. His brows turned into waves of flesh on his forehead. Besides him Ilya Repin is dictating letters to Muscovy and the Tatar Empire.

"My lord, I am Vladimir Stukov, sent here by Vasily, Czar of the Rus and Grand Prince of Muscovy, to serve as the humble ambassador to Suzdal. There are many things I wish to discuss with you if you should recieve me, and if I may be so bold my lord, I wish to speak in private for the halls of courts have many ears these days."
He gave a respectful yet short bow and awaited a reply.

The Volga Alliance
Preamble: In the interests of mutual protection and cooperation, the Grand Principality of Muscovy and the Grand Principality of Suzdal, formalize an alliance. Both states recognize the dangers that face the east and the lands of the Rus; dangers from outside interference and internal strife. Both states acknwoldge that through brotherly cooperation Muscovy and Suzdal can safe-guard their interests.
Article I: The Grand Principality of Muscovy and the Grand Principality of Suzdal herby affirm a full military, political, and economical alliance.
Article II: Both parties of this alliance recognize an attack on one state as an attack on the other state as well, and said state is bound to come to the defense of the attacked state.
Article III: In the event of an offensive war conducted by one party of this alliance, then it is not required for the other party to participate in the war, however it is advised that the other party support the warring party through military or financial means.
Article IV: Both parties promise to look favourably upon a request for a loan from each other.
Article V: Both parties agree that in the spirit of cooperation, merchants from either party will pay 80% of the usual duties when trading in each others cities.
Article VI: Both parties also agree to the financing and construction of a trade house in each others capitol to facilitate commerce.
Article VII: In the event of another party seeking to join this alliance, that party must be confirmed by all existing members of the alliance.
Article VIII: Amendments can be made to this treaty of alliance, and said amendments must be proposed by a member nation, and ratified by all who are part of this alliance.
