Not sure if this is specific to the beta patch (2.7.2 Tiny Patch Open Beta) or is just a regular bug. I encountered the following problem (described in stages) while playing with Primogeniture:

1. I have a king, let's call him A. He has a son, let's call him B. B has no children and is my heir. Just if anybody asks, B is not set to inherit any foreign lands.

2. B gets a son (A's grand-son). Let's call him C. I get a message that I have got a new heir: C... B is alive and well but is nowhere in the line of succession all of a sudden.

3. A dies, C inherits. B is still nowhere in the line of succession. C's little cousin D is the heir.

4. C gives B a county. All of a sudden, B turns into the primary heir. D disappears from the line of succession completely.

The weird part is that the succession transferred to the grandchild while his father was still alive and well. Then, when the grandchild inherited, the succession jumped back to his father.

If you attach it I'll have a look at the save file and see if there is any information, what succession law were you using?

This just happened again, so I am uploading a current save file. In this case, my king (the Dragon) has a grandson as the primary heir while the grandson's father is still alive and well. The save is attached.

The succession law is primogeniture. I have not touched the gender side of the succession so that is whatever it is at the 769 start for Deheurbarth.

The original situation (with a grandson inheriting and then his father becoming the primary heir) happened in the same game, a couple generations earlier.
