I don't have much to say past the title, but I'd love a colossus weapon for pacifist and/or xenophile empires that turns planets into pre-FTL primitives. It would be... Exceedingly hilarious. I don't want to exterminate the galaxy, I want to turn them into one huge zoo.

Lore-wise, it should probably be some EMP-like weapon. Where the Neutron Sweep kills everything but leaves infrastructure mostly intact, this Colossus would do the exact opposite.

Remember how that nanite "bomb" event can create a new Gaia Planet out of bare rock?

Maybe if you do that same thing to an inhabited planet, it kills buildings & tech but leaves pops alone -- they die due to lacking buildings and tech, but not form the nanite weapon directly.

I actually have an unpublished mod right now that lets you research the Mind-Wipe Pulse from the OtSoG origin as a Colossus weapon. It's a lot of fun to use; so +1 to the idea.
