Primary title relegated after death!?

Has anyone noticed that when a character has two kingdom titles, once they're dead in most cases they are known as the King or Queen of the secondary title instead of the primary?

For example in one game I held the kingdoms of England and Aquitaine with England as the primary title, and after death they remained King ____ of England. However in another game I held the kingdoms of Jerusalem and Syria with Jerusalem as the primary title, but after death my characters are known as King ____ of Syria.

Anyone know why this might be?

AFAIK the bigger kingdom (the one with more provinces) is then listed as your primary. The same goes for duchies.

I've noticed this happen in a game of mine where I had De Jure drifted all my territory to Castille and held a bunch of titular kingdoms, after death, my monarch was King of Maurentia... >.<

The same also seemed to apply to siblings of that king, they were Princes/Princesses of Maurentia, when previously they had been princes/princesses Castille.

Really? I thought it was because of the alphabetical order, that "A" comes before "E".

No, because then in the OP's example, his dead kings should have been called 'king of Aquitaine' instead of 'king of England'.

In my Jerusalem game I allowed the Duchy of Tripoli to become a de jure part of the Kingdom of Jerusalem, this meant that tecnically that kingdom was now bigger in terms of number of provinces than the Kingdom of Syria. Once again I had the same thing happen after creating the Kingdom of Syria though, which seems to mirror what Alyiakal was saying!

Looks like there's no way around it unfortunately, while not a major problem it's not great really is it :-(
