fallout new vegas ultimate (2012): 31 lira
witcher 3 GOTY (2015): 75 lira
total war: attila (2015): 80 lira
company of heroes 2 (2013): 31 lira

eu4 vanilla (2013): 88 lira
hoi 4 vanilla (2016): 88 lira
steel division (2017): 88 lira (i was about to buy this, but changed my mind)

From the US, so I'm not directly affected by these price increases. With that said, I have noticed a distinct lack of significant sales like they used to have and their latest DLCs have been overpriced as all hell. I was going to buy Stellaris and HOI4 this weekend now that final exams are over, but I've changed my mind given these latest events.

Earlier I bought all Paradox games with all DLC for me and my children (as gifts), but now I can't do it because the price. And now I will not be able to convince other people to buy Paradox games, as I did earlier. Because medium Russia income is about $250-350. It's very sad that my favorite developer/publisher went to such a rash step.

Seriously, this has been mismanaged in so many different ways that i am still in denial. While I can understand the rationale behind a price rise (not so much for old vanilla games...), it could have been planned, organized and presented in so many better ways that I hope whoever was in charge will be sent to a master course at mcdonald's for some months. You know, just to get some basics.

I noticed Rainbow Six Siege by Ubisoft is now £12.99 and it's just over a year old, had free Expansions, compare that with Hearts of Iron III and it's what nearly 10 years old? and triple the price?

The great difference is, shooters sell much more than strategies, let alone grand strategies like this. How many of your friends play CS:GO or Dota compared to EU4?

On the flip side, this increase in price is just asking too much out of your fan base. I get the policy behind it, but the prices went too far up in some regions that in real life have no buying power that PDX is talking about. I mean, Brazil? A few of my friends, much like myself, like to have all the major content when we play. Now 2 of my buddies are 3 or 4 DLCs behind, and god knows when will they get them, if they do. This way you don't earn any money.. The thing is, PDX knows it has a selective and loyal fan base that likes their content very much. Let's see how it pans out..

I'm also disgusted about myself and my Steam purchases. Just wanted to warn peoples at Steam's subreddit. But moderators flagged my thread as misleading. I wish developers bring their games to GoG more often and keep it updated

It's applies for who is using Steam with Euro currency I guess.

Just few dlc's and editions prices increased in Euro(EU) it's minimal.

Not all EU countries use the Euro though! But safe to assume that most EU countries have been affected (from what I've heard) including the UK.

More games and dlc's affected at UK. But when I set currency to Euro at steamdb its just 20 packages or so. UK is like all dlc's base games etc.

I'm still very much keeping an eye on this thread and reading all the replies, but there is nothing for me to add. The price changes will ofc be revised in the future but for now they are not going to be reverted.
