Hearts of Iron II got reviewed in our biggest gamemagazine: PC GAMEPLAY.
No internet version available, a printed mag only.

SCORE: 82% !!!

HURRAY! Go out there and by the mag

PC Zone UK:

gave it 87% and the PC Zone Essential award in a two page review. In the same issue (no. 152) Star War Republic Commando (3d shooty game) got 80%. The reviewer loved the game and compared it to a WW2 version of Championship/football manager.

summing up he wrote:-

"For the more "serious" armchair general however, Hearts of Iron 2 is the pinnicle of high-level strategy, where its interface, AI and global playing field combine to provide a game that will very likely become the benchmark for years to come."
