Well, one way to deal with this is to pause the game then manually call just the allies you need and/or that can't beat you to a province you want to grab. Your allies will only take over as war leader in a defensive war (assuming you are playing vanilla 5.1). You can't kick allies out of a war but if they are doing fairly well and the war is dragging on they are likely to make a seperate peace agreement.

Well, vassal allies always grab in your name (except if they have a core)

Otherwise I would recommend putting 1 regiment in the province before your allies get there. And then when siege is won province will be occupied by you.

+1. Also, If you are siege leader, DO NOT reorganize your armies there. You might loose siege leader status.

He shouldn't unless he moves all his armies.

EDIT: *regiments.

If you move (or eliminate through consolidation) the wrong army you will lose siege control. As long as the army that has siege control isn't moved, even momentarily, or absorbed by another army you can safely reorganize as much as you like.

One way to deal with this is to use spies in the territory occupied by your allies to start a revolt. This counts as a spy action against the country you are already at war with, rather than against the ally who is currently cluttering up territory which is rightfully yours with their own garrison.

If you can prevent your allies from reaching the territory before the rebels remove the allied garrison (such as, for example, revoking military access to the ally in question), you can guarantee that you can take the province yourself. Otherwise, you just have to hope that the rebels can flip the territory before your ally gets troops over there.
