Pretty bad Lag in the Demo

I'm probably only one of a few, but i've just got the demo, and I've experienced some awful lag. It takes quite some time simply for the Map to pan at the start! Changing the resolution doesn't really help, so it there something else I can do to improve performance? I suspect it's because I've got an awful graphics card and only 3gd RAM, but still.

I would suspect that, too. My old laptop struggled mightily with EU III despite being pretty up to snuff for contemporary games.

CK runs beautifully. Only odd thing is the tremendous loading time when first launched. Otherwise, full speed is full speed, no hiccups or lag. And this is on a machine that was top-of-the-line, but three years ago.

It's a Nvidia GeForce 6150SE n Force 430. Surprisingly though, EU3 ran quite smoothly for me.

Looking at system requirements on Steam, EU3 requires a 128 mb video card. CK2 requires a 512 mb card (although my 256 mb card runs it just fine).

It's actually an integrated and thus has no dedicated memory, just shared DDR... I'd say it doesn't meet the requirements, as I had one and it could hardly handle the older games I played.

I tried going windowed for the Demo but found no settings.txt there like in other games...
