I need 8,000 Prestige to finally make my empire out of Kingdom of Burgundy, Kingdom of Aquitaine, Titular Kingdom of Castille, and Titular Kingdom of Aragon.

Can someone please explain what's going on? I am supposed to be getting 14 prestige per month.

8k prestiges as Viking is too easy, 8k prestiges as Catholic is way too shabby...

But well that requirement is there to avoid Europe mainly for getting too many Charlemagne wannabe left, right and center...

So from this little information let's summarize, you've got 4 kingdoms title which means 4 prestige/month obviously...
14 x 12 = 168 prestige/year, so assuming you go from say 2.000 prestige as starter, means 6.000/168 = roughly 36 years to do up till 8k prestige :D
Without an ability to raid, it's almost impossible to get 8k prestige as Catholic except you joined Crusade and won then BAM! 5k prestige.

What you can do though to make this dream of yours slightly come true is :

1. Creating ALL ducal title available to you, 1 title net you 200 means 5 titles can net you 1k, good isn't it?
2. Befriend Pope to excomunicate and then declare war to targeted excomunicated char, or better yet, create an Anti-Pope and make him do your bidding to milk prestige.
3. As opposed to point number 2, helping the Pope dethrone an Anti-Pope (if there is any), will net you many prestige.
4. Take a War focus and duel every single one of your rival/excomunicated char, each 1 duel won will help you net 200 prestige, well this one is little bit risky though...
5. As Catholic, do a Feast or Summer Festival every year, as a King of 4 Kingdoms, you must have ton of money ain't that right?
6. Fight a tributary war against your neighbor to net prestige and forced allies advantage as well.
7. Having someone from your line of Dynasty as Head of Holy Order or better yet the Pope will net you extra +2 prestige, From "Dynasty Control Holy Order/Catholic religion" as well as 1 piety, similar to Caliph and all his kinsmen. Sadly this need a tremendous luck and unlocked Crusade...
8. Helping your co-religionist fight defensive war against heathen will help gainign prestige, from your description and Kingdom titles, I smelled Ummayad nearby... :D
9 Taking Carousing focus and have party every 1,5 years also help, even though only a little, but this is much safer than War focus, except you're accidentaly maimed when fighting a brawl

And so many other ways that maybe other forumites can also help, good luck.

Short answer: longevity is the key.

Make sure your successor is around 16-20 when they take the throne, switch to hunting focus at around 40 for its health bonuses. Any realm that satisfies the other empire requirements should have little problem after 35+ years of ruling and wars.

The OP isn't asking how to gain prestige. He's saying that the tooltip tells him he's gaining 14 prestige a month, but for some reason, his ruler's prestige is stuck at 7500.

As Booda said, we need more info to be able to help him figure it out.

I'm sorry there wasn't enough information. So the situation is my King has a ton of stuff making me a lot of prestige every month. I was watching the prestige meter go up, because as soon as I hit 8,000 I was going to turn myself into an Empire. I was very excited. But when I hit 7,500 Prestige the meter stopped going up even though nothing changed. I no longer get my monthly allowance of Prestige even though it's right there in the tooltip and nothing has changed. It's like there is a hard-coded cap for monthly Prestige. If I do something that like a Feast I do get that single amount of prestige. The "10 prestige for 10 gold. But that is the only way I get prestige. As I write this and watch, I've been denied 160 (and going up every month) Prestige points.

That's definitely not right. I can't help since I haven't run into this problem before. I scored enough prestige to form Empires in recent versions, but I haven't gained enough prestige in the latest version 2.5.2 to know if it is a recent bug.

However, I see you posted this in the tech support forum too. They will probably ask for the save game where this is happening and any helpful details, like which mods you are running, if any.

Nope, they moved the thread in the tech support forum here. So now we have 2 threads on the same topic. Oops.

Anywyay, first of all, I can report that in my current game with the latest DLC and patch, monthly prestige does still accrue past 7500.

jpinard, what version of the game are you using? Any mods in use? Did this problem exist before you installed the most recent content that you're running?
