Prestige is rather stupid way to manage personal union

I just had a PU with France as Hungary, and believe it or not, it isn't hard to keep it... if not prestige. I understand the concept, that ruling class of "subject" country doesn't wish to be ruled by dishonourable state, but is it enough to really determine end of the union? Isn't determining PU too complex to make it just by contractual "prestige"?
