I am currently having a wonderful run as the Byzantines. After the Jagellion dynasty spread to me, I then diplomaticly formed PU's with first Poland, then Lithuania. Later France fell under me with only a royal marriage, after their ruler died. I also forced a PU on a strong Nassau, and have spread my dynasty to Brandenburg, and Bohemia.
Now I have Married the 65 year old ruler of a 2 province Loraine with no heir, but here is a what I don't get.
It says Lorraine will fall under me, but we don't have the same dynasty. Now I know prestige (which is currently always moving to 100 thanks to being Byzantium) gives you priority for spreading your dynasty, but does it also effect forming PU's? What influences wether a country will simply get your dynasty on dieing without a heir, or immediately falling under a PU with you instead?
