Pressing claim against Multi-Kings

I don't know if this is the latest patch feature, however I noticed something weird:

I got a claimant for Castille, Leon and Galicia. Current ruler of all three kingdoms is one guy and he controls de jure of all three + some andalusia.

I press the claim for Castille:
- my expectations - get all de jure Castille.
- result - I get only one county in Castille and the crown.

That does not seem right... Or is it?

It seems that the counties you didn't get were "de facto" belonging to the kingdom of Leon (or galicia).
At least this is my best guess on what happened .

I think it could be two things.

1. The de-facto borders were wrong from the start. You can check that by clicking on the title in the character screen of the Multi-king and seeing how the borders look.

2. Usually the game doesn't like giving away the personal demesne of the king if you're fighting for a kingdom title. So maybe all those counties he still has are his personal demesne? It might sound weird but sometimes it's better to target the kingdom where it's mostly his vassals because at least those will be transferred to you.

I think it's number 2.

By the way, this is why it's often useful to ask the pope for an invasion of the kingdom if available. That way you guarantee that all the holdings go to you.

I've been seeing that a lot lately, too.
War against the Maharaja of Delhi and Gujarat to push a claim for Delhi? Delhi lands claimed, except for all his Delhi capitals that you besieged to the ground. He gets to keep those.
War against the Child Caliph of Mesopotamia and Baluchistan to push a claim for Mesopotamia? Mesopotamia claimed, except for the Caliph's capital in Mesopotamia.

I kinda wanted Mesopotamia/Delhi when I pushed the claims for Mesopotamia/Delhi, Mr CB.

OK, makes sense... Well, not really, but at least I think I know how to check.

I will have one more war with that guy and will see what happens...

Well, it's annoying, but you at least have the De Jure Claims.

Who were the other lands within de jure Castille held by?
Perhaps they were counts under a dukedom that was de jure Leon or Galicia?

Even if this were the case, it seems wrong; personal holdings, direct vassals AND indirect vassals should all be transferred.

I bet temporary titles (held by those in revolt) aren't transferred properly either.

This is weird too... As an Emperror, I can't press de jure claims of my vassal kings...

I just noticed that I left "you" out of my OP....

That is probably a glitch. You're supposed to be able to press all of your vassals claims.
