Hey, that Simnation.tv site has had a decent amount of work put into it. You wouldn't do that just to get the game for free, easier just to buy it and put the time into something else! The OP is just someone genuinely interested in covering the game and growing his site (or crazy, but they don't sound crazy ), nothing wrong with that. They're clearly growing, and learning how things work in terms of contacting devs and pubs, but learning and growing are generally good things, unless it's a virus or bacteria in your system .

You'd think we'd want to be encouraging sites to cover the game, not talking them down . Particularly in the case of a site that's more dedicated to niches along the lines of what we like - most of the HoI-related stuff I've read on the big mainstream sites that don't have a strategy focus (other than RPS and, surprisingly, IGN) has been average at best.

It is dedicated to Sims games. Sure Cities Skyline may fall into it a little but HoI4 will definitely not fall into a sims game category.

Yes but the audience is rather small. And as a matter of fact out of 2900 YouTube subs 600 something came from the last 30 days so presumably because of the release of Cites skylines. The process of growing is a slow process and the correct way is to buy the game and do a review when it is released. Only big fish may get early copies. That is why growing is a slow process.

Yes, I am also waiting for even a single piece of information regarding HoI4 and the thought that someone who is a microorganisms in the YouTube world will get to play the game before me is upsetting. I also want to play HoI4 as early as possible but I am willing to wait until release to buy a copy of the game. And yes we are small and attempting to grow, but everyone does that and we all search for means to grow. And while we are small we have a working relationship with Paradox, as I am sure TotallyMoo will tell you if you ask him, and within this relationship we have released the biweekly Cities:Skylines podcast on the ParadoxExtra channel (heresy I know, how could such a small youtube do that). But just because we have a small Youtube doesn't mean the website is the same, it predates our Youtube channel, and has a substantially larger community that follows it.
Just because we covered simulation games more in depth then the rest does not mean we don't want to cover anything else, we want to cover what we enjoy playing and because I have played the previous HoI titles and enjoyed them I want to cover this one as well.

Press Kit is a collection of various assets (banners, screenshots etc) to be used by the press.
