Press Kit for HoI4

Hello!

You probably know me better as SimNation Jan. With the release of Cities Skylines I'm looking to start covering some more paradox games, many of which I love. And I was wondering if there is some sort of a press kit available for Hearts Of Iron IV?
I want to start covering the game in detail on our website (external link removed - Had a dad) starting with all the dev diaries that were already released, and continuing off with future ones. Honestly now after release of Skylines this is my most anticipated Paradox game and I want to share that excitement with our community.

So if I set up a website will I also get a press copy? A 5 year old can also set up a website so that is not something which would validate giving out press copies. He also has under 3000 subs on YouTube so he is not big at all.

I think there is something to it. I am convinced that it is his intention to get a free copy beforehand. He is not a famous Youtuber and he is rather small, under 3000 subs will not get him anything. He is probably looking for a way to grow and at the same time get a free copy before us legitimate customers.

He has at most a small community. He also has 3 posts totally on the forum. And 2 of them are in this thread. I have never heard about him or his website and I can bet that all of you have never heard about him before. He is laying it out there like he is someone like Quill18 or Angry Joe or Arumba with a big audience but he is a microorganism in comparison.

why don't you email them for a press kit? if you're right, you'll get the entire game, for free! because certainly if they're handing it out to one nobody, they'll give it to you as well.

Hey, that external link removed - Had a dad site has had a decent amount of work put into it. You wouldn't do that just to get the game for free, easier just to buy it and put the time into something else! The OP is just someone genuinely interested in covering the game and growing his site (or crazy, but they don't sound crazy ), nothing wrong with that. They're clearly growing, and learning how things work in terms of contacting devs and pubs, but learning and growing are generally good things, unless it's a virus or bacteria in your system .

You'd think we'd want to be encouraging sites to cover the game, not talking them down . Particularly in the case of a site that's more dedicated to niches along the lines of what we like - most of the HoI-related stuff I've read on the big mainstream sites that don't have a strategy focus (other than RPS and, surprisingly, IGN) has been average at best.

No, it doesn't matter at all and I am convinced that Paradox will make the right decision.
