Is it possible to make a scenario conserning the 2000s? I've tried to make all present European/Muslim countries using the many historical tags (prussia = germany, persia = iran, mameluks = egypt etc.) It would have been interesting to try to fit all present countries into the EU-map (at least the euro/muslim ones.)

Have anyone knowledge about this, anyone done this before?

Try the Modern Day Scenario :D

I used to want to make one of those myself.

What to do, go to the text.csv file in the Config folder. That contains the tags for all the nations. If you want to change the name 'Prussia' to Germany, for example, search for something that goes PRU;Prussia, and change it to PRU;Germany.

Many countries can be done. However many of the ones in the interior of Africa can not be done. Mongolia can not be done. Some small nations can't be done either.

OK, but wouldn't changing tag-names and (other things) screw up the game, won't Prussia remain "Germany" in all other scenarios as well?

What about the years... will 2000+ be fine...

Should small, pointless nations exist at the expence of bigger, more meaningfull nations, in a modernday scenario? Luxembourg and Moldavia are examples of this issue, their presence blocking the fortunes of nations like Belgium and Romania. I'd say it would be best to let the bigger nations get more territories, to reflect the fact that annexations of minors would be much less likely that way. The argument for letting the small ones live, is that more tags would be taken into use in that way, and the scenario would look more like a regualr EU-scenario.
Have any of you got any arguments for or against either of these ideas?

One problem with that is that Luxembourg is still a country lol ... there would be no reason to eliminate it from the modern day scenario. Moldavia on the other hand I agree with as I do with most minors.
