Hi everyone. True, I am new to HOI3 and HOI in general but still eager as a puppy.... and just as clumsy perhaps so be patient with me, eh?

A guide for Nationalist China suggests choosing the "Prepare for War" option immediately. I am on normal difficulty and my IC is at about 24 but I can't see that option on the diplo screen. Any suggetions as to what I am doing wrong?

I am playing Their Finest Hour.

I haven't played Nat Chi enough to know - but if you *don't* see prepare for war available, you can sometimes get it to come up by saving up a bit of cash, and then moving your economics laws to full civilian economy (if it isn't there already) thus shrinking your IC/economy and making it small enough to initiate prepare for war. If it is already available for Nat Chi it'll be to the bottom left of the screen on the diplomacy tab with a little check mark to click on.

*EDIT****

It's available by default for nat chi.

Prepare for war is an universal event that becomes avaiable the moment you have 29 or less effective(not base) IC. Yes, it exists, I used it yesterday as Natchi. Can you post a screenshot of your game?
