Preorder and Steam

I'm confused on this point.

If I pre-order, will I still get to use steam? I like how steam auto-updates, launches, etc. Or can I pre-order through Steam and still get the Grand Marshall edition stuff and bonuses?

If you buy from the Paradox store or GMG you will get a Steam Key. If you buy from Steam then it will automatically show up in you Steam Library. No matter where you buy you are still pre-ordering and thus will get the pre-order bonuses and whatever comes in the game edition you decide to buy.

P.S Paradox games released from EU4, or was CK2 first(?), to today have all required Steam meaning no matter where you buy you will still use Steam.

Every version of this game will have to run through Steam, so the Steam updates/achievements will always apply, no matter where you buy the game from.

Paradox uses steam for those exact reasons you stated. Also you can buy the Field Marshall edition from steam.
