I am Playing as a female ruler, and my husband became incapable, since my character was not getting any younger I simply decided to use the console event where your character gets impregnated by someone other than your husband.

However, its been like five years and my character is still pregnant. If I can't have a kid my dynasty will end. So any help is appreciated.

It's seniority/elective succession time! (I can't help you with cheat-related matters, but sometimes things like this happen. Instead of cheating, you should regard it as a challenge, because what fun is the game if you simply cheat every time something bad happens?)

Many of the pregnancy events only add the pregnant trait. To actually initiate a pregnancy from console you need to use the pollinate command;

pollinate [mother-id] [father-id]

use 'charinfo 1' in the console to get the desired ids.

Point taken, but I really didn't feel I was cheating too badly. I wasn't giving myself shitloads of cash or using a console commands to kill troublesome dukes, I merely wanted to have a kid so my game wouldn't end. But, I guess the cheating that I intended to save my game with only ensured its demise.

I think giving yourself shitloads of cash is a less serious offense than editing yourself a pregnancy in a game where the preservation of the dynasty (regardless of how good or bad its fortunes are at a given time) is the main goal. I mean, you can still change succession laws, can't you? It's not like this is the only way to carry on playing. You'll just have to deal with more problematic succession laws in a time of hardship.
