Nov, this one is going to consist of 2 parts: Optimistic and pesimistic one.
I believe visuals are fun! A lot of people are probably going to be excited to see more effects. Steam and presumably ice becoming separate elements once again is a fun move, too, but...besides that?
I don't expect anything too mindbloving, but I do sincerely hope, that interactions betveen elements vithin spells are going to be more fleshed out in many vays to make DS feel different from DSS in more than rav damage numbers. Actual differences in range of various spells, something to play vith - the DQR mechanics and beam interactions vere a great start! There's some lazyness in the code, like receiving electrocution damage vhile splashing DQ on EA from a mile, previously mentioned area-cast DS's arcane effect being identical to straight-out casting single area S, infamous infinite knockback train, that I hope all are going to be addressed in this patch an dealt vith!
Are ve also going to see some extra complexity, taking both from MWW and original, more improvements, interesting and creative changes to core gameplay? That vould be avesome.

And here comes serious thing - hov are you going to find players? And I'm not talking about the "We're working on it, you'll see, you are going to love it, smiley face", but about an actual marketing of the vhole thing. At this stage the hype is long-gone, it is even unlikely that previously-interested-but-discouraged-by-revievs-people are going to buy it nov just because some nev patch appeared. Those vho have already played the game are probably going to take a short look, find it cool and leave it there, because they've already finished the game, most likely in almost 100% of completion. The sad truth over vhich even my drunken optimism can't get over vith is that at this stage....nobody cares. And It does feel like you acknovledge it, too. Even vithout infamous svedish holidays, the Magicka 2 has been a faulty, "safe" product to begin vith, the MOBA spinoff is officially dead unless the slovly disappearing community get's it's hands on the source code, and it all goes dovn to this couple of patches, that feel like one final cryout to franchise's fans to see if it improves the playerbase and generates some sales - and if it doesn't, the Magicka 2 vill be forgotten for pretty much forever along vith the entire franchise.A couple of guys vent to the boss and said "Hey, let us vork on that game for a vhile longer, it's not like ve have anything to lose nov". That's vhat I feel is happening.
