So it wont be coming in a disk form? Does that no make it easier for people just to make iso files for people to play as?I like having the game in a disk.

No hardcopies? Is that confirmed, as that pretty much means no HTTT for me...![]()
Are you talking about piracy? If so it won't make any difference either way. Only games that are primarily multiplayer have shown any real resistance to being cracked, and then only by requiring that they be played through certain servers. Also, ISO is a disk image format. I don't see any reason why a game released digitally would be released as an ISO, legally or otherwise.
I think they are releasing it as digital distribution only because it is cheaper. I also suspect they are looking forward to the number of sales made through Gamers Gate, a service I believe they are affiliated with. I couldn't say for sure though. I know I certainly wouldn't mind paying a couple bucks more for a disk, but that isn't their plan.
Let me rephrase it, does that mean it will be released as an iso, instead of a disk? Which form your answer, I understand is a yes. Is there a way around not having a credfit card, and being able to get the game? (I am only 17, no credit card for me) I do have steam, but to get games on it, I must pay by credit card. Does anyone know of a way aound this?
In Paypal you may transfer money from a bank acount to your paypal acount, then pay with it (don't know if Steam allows paypal payment).

Ok, I'm not sure I understand you. I'm almost positive you don't understand me. An ISO file is a type of disk image. The game is not being released on disk. No disk = no disk image. Again, the game will almost certainly NOT be released as an ISO. You see games online in ISO format when they are pirated copies of games released originally on a disk. Rarely are games put up online in ISO format legally. I'll admit I've never used Gamers Gate before, so for all I know they defy logic and use the format. I really doubt it, but I'll admit I have no way of knowing.
Also, I see no way you would be able to buy this game without something like a credit card. I seriously doubt it will find its way into many stores, even if it is released on disk at some point. That's probably a big part of why they are only releasing it as a download; why create a disk when people are going to have to buy online anyway? I would have, but I suspect many people don't see the point.
At least my bank account works with paypal without having a credit card. And yes, you can buy from Gamers Gate through paypal.Man, you are my hero. Do you need a credit card to apply for Paypal? Also, does the website that it will be sold on, accept Paypal payments? Thank you so much for your help!![]()
Ahh, I see. I understand now.I always read an iso as something silly like, just being able to play the game without a disk or something like that. My friend uses something like Daemeon tools? Which is able to read iso's. So I just assumed an iso was the data of the game, without requiring the disk or something.
Thanks for the clarification! Seems like I have some computer terminology to learn.![]()

Dude, it was just explained above. I've got all my GamersGate games off of PayPal, which is not a credit card. Things like eBay also use PayPal. It is safe and easy.
Plus, EU3 Complete can be bought over eBay and Amazon, and it is a widely held assumption that they will make a new type of Complete for HT.

Dude, I didn't contradict anyone. A possible boxed version seemed to be suggested as a solution to his problem. I didn't dispute that there might be a boxed version, just that it would likely (imo) not reach many stores. Meaning he'd have to buy online anyway. Meaning he'd have the exact same payment options. Meaning he'd have to pay with something "like" a credit care, which I've always considered PayPal to be. After all, you need either a credit card or a bank account to use PayPal, don't you? (Truthfully that question isn't entirely rhetorical, as I always just use a credit card when I use PayPay. I know PayPal has other payment option, but I'm a bit hazy on what they are.) That was all I meant when I said he would still need something "like" a credit card.
Pre-ordered HTTT, couldn't wait anymore. My sh**y bank charges almost one-third of the expansion's price for that single transaction...
