Hi everybody,

I have a question... If I pre-order, and get the bonus content, and my friend can't preorder this game.. we will be able to play together? I don't know how this works...
for example: in the new Simcity, you can't play cities with DLC content in it that you don't own...

How this will work in Cities in Motion 2 multiplayer? It is important to me... before pre-order :)

Yes. I only experienced this in Gran Turismo 5. The DLC cars can be used in MP races by the owner, but they're balanced well and they have no special abilities or other things that make them superior.

I guess it's like that: If you start a multiplayer game and the other one misses some DLC content, you can only start a game without the respective DLC content. And I am sure if someone doesn't pre-order, he can buy the DLC seperately afterwards.
PS: why can't your friend pre-order the game? If not on Steam, it can be pre-ordered on Gamersgate

As many have said - i don't think that playing with someone who have a DLC won't be a problem, unless some DLC is OP.
In the preorder DLC buses, trams and trolleybuses can share stops, and it seems that this is DLC exlusive. That can cause someone who don't have preorder DLC will have to spend more money on stops.

The cash spent on stops in CiM1 was always minimal. If you planned good routes, you didn't have to worry about the costs you make, because you had more than a satisfying income later on.

I would not worry too much about it, these bus stops that also serve trams are probably more costly in upkeep/purchase then the others anyway...

I expect that due to the multiplayer element all dlc will be balanced with other content.
In CIM1 some dlc was not balanced, and I hated that...
But that was mostly due to the 100-Years system, and they removed that.

What about if you're playing co-op and one player has the DLC and the other doesn't? In that case will the player without the DLC not be able to use any stops built using the DLC content?
