It would take me about 10 minutes. But I know some friends state side who will not likely be able to play for hours afterwards. The internet is crazy as far as what is good and where. I live in one of the poorest parts of Canada, but we have one of the best internet services. It's... strange. In average, with my connection, I guess it would take around an hour. I don´t have to worry, I have other things to play, books to read and animes to watch in my HDD, so I can handle an hour. It´s nice that I am not anxious at all XD

I can't remember when, but I remember a game that tried this style of preload, and someone was able to just sub in the EXE from a demo for the game and put the full thing up for pirated download a week before the game actually came out. I've also heard of similar things being done with launchers adapted from games with the same engine and such. There's a reason the current standard is encoding with a small missing component.Damn. I wish they'd at least let us download game resources, everything but main directory (that is no exe or dll's). That way once game goes live, it would take only couple minutes to download few MB's of exec. Also, it would allow us to start modding and release day one mods.
I think the closes to an exact time we have so far is Noon to Evening CEST. So for me that is 6am to noon.Wait.. I just realise that I could ask my girlfriend to klick the button while I am at work in the afternoon..![]()
Praise the Blorg!
Does anyone know a "exact" time?
Ah I see, rather unspecific... but thank you anyway.I think the closes to an exact time we have so far is Noon to Evening CEST. So for me that is 6am to noon.
The game is only 4GB? That seems unusually small for a game this complex. That said, I can't even remember how big CK2 and EU4 were, so I don't really have a good comparison.
Still, on my 300Kb/s connection, 4Gb will take me.....
*tappitytappitytaptap*
Almost 4 hours.
So depending on the actual time of release I may or may not be able to have it downloading while at work.
If not It'll be 1-2hours late May 9th or May 10th start for me.
Which is honestly what I was expecting anyway.
Good point. My Steam installation of CK2 is 2166 MB, and the EU4 one is 1904 MB (admitedly, I am a bit back in EU, as I play version 1.13 to be able to play Lex Talionis, so newer patches may be heavier), so, it is practically twice as big as the other two main released paradox games.
Most of the heavyness in other "complex" games is actually graphics data, and we are not talking about some TW here
19:00 CESTWhen on the 9th is it releasing? 9th Stockholm time or 9th steam(US) time?
19:00 CEST
4gb is like, a 15 to 30 minute download
