Pre install on steam? Devs Please answer if you can?

i haven't see it asked, and don't know if it has been, but will we have be able to pre install the game a few days before hand so we don't need to wait how ever long it takes to install?

i ask this cause the day it comes out is on a public holiday (YAY! Western Australia day!) and my internet connection is atrocious at times, so anything over 6 odd gig will take me nearly a full day to download give or take, so it would be nice to those of us that have these crappy internet connections to get to install a few days earlier so we can have the maximum amount of time on the game...

it will also prevent the need for me to call a sicky on Tuesday just to be able to play this game i have waited so god damn long for

I very much doubt that there is going to be a pre-load for HoI 4.

HoI 3, Crusader Kings 2 and EU 4 are less than 2 GB's in size. Stellaris is going to be around 4 GB's (and will not get a pre-load if i recall).

Crappy internet connection is just awful, in my old place where i lived i had the fastest possible contract, but it still was 1/4 of the speed i get in this newer place where i live, although this house is actually over 20 years older and i have exactly the same contract...

Paradox has to my (incomplete) knowledge - never offered pre-loading for any of their titles

The file sizes are usually a maximum of 4gb (usually less) so its a rather small portion of the community that would benefit. Abysmal level internet mostly.

yea, i live int he cbd of perth, and we have ADSL2+ which is the fastest land line you can get in australia out side the NBN (fibre) network, and were meant to get between 2mb/s to 10mb/s and were only a kilometer from the exchange, sadly how ever we barely make 300kbs avg, on a good day we can keep a connection of 150-200kbs, but i live in a house with 10 house mates who all use it, so the bandwidth use is shit.

i blame our SP telstra cause they are assholes :I

I feel with you, I experienced that struggle in New Zealand. I scratched my head as well when people told me what they have to pay for an abysmal connection, and then even with a fixed limit or worse, still paid per megabyte. Contracts like that don't exist anymore in Europe since at least 15 years. But yeah, you in Australia have a fourth or fifth of the people to pay for connections that have to physically branch out much further than anywhere in Europe.

HoI will most likely like Stellaris have around 4 GB.
