In my current game, I have two Pre-FTL civilizations within my borders (both set to Aggressive Observation) - one in the Machine Age, the other in the Stone Age. I've gotten one or two Insight technologies so far (it's currently 2240), but it's been something like 20-30 years since the last one. How often are these events supposed to fire?
One of my Pre-FTLs is a Life-Seeded Origin and I'm trying to determine if it's worth invading/whether the second Pre-FTL doubles the rate of tech generation or whether it's redundant. So far it's a touch disappointing that I'm rewriting multiple species' genetic codes but the only benefit I've gotten from a size-25 Gaia world is learning how to deliver more scathing insults...
