Isn't it 1% per county conquest? I hope I'm wrong about that, but I'm pretty sure it's 1%. Building temple holdings should give you another 1% per temple, and putting down religious rebellions should net you 1% each. According to ckiiwiki, you can get 3% per ruler conversion, which I assume would have to be done with your Diviner (religious advisor). Seems pretty unreliable, though, especially as an unreformed pagan. I've got a Buddhist vassal I'll try to convert tonight.

There's one desperate measure that one could try...Fabricate a claim on Baghdad and/or Heliopolis, hope for a rebellion, try to ninja the the county, and immediately reform if successful. Super gamey though, if it's even possible.

Really, the best chance you have is focusing on India or the Steppes after you've reformed (which is pretty hard, since you can't raid), maybe move your capital and leave behind some buffer states to stall the Abbasids; usually they don't move into India.

Ruler conversion is a bit of a chance, but if you have an infidel vassal who also has infidel vassals (temple and city) you have a pretty decent chance of getting a few points of MA within a decade.

Doesn't look like they get Great Holy wars tho, which is a real bummer.

Yep, I could use a good Great Holy War. I'm going to save up and temple-spam my way to 50%, I think. It'll take a century or so, but I'm making a ton of gold from ransoming infidel proselytizers, and my tax income isn't bad either.

Briefly played this start earlier. Attacked by the Abbasids pretty early, though I was able to plot-revoke a bunch of my vassals and take some Buddhist stuff beforehand. Thought I was doomed, considered converting.

Then the Abbasids walked 7000 men (8x my total army) into my provinces.

My provinces with 500 supply limit and pagan attrition.

I won that war because they couldn't keep enough troops in my provinces to maintain sieges.

(Also, either AI Norse pagans reform way more quickly than Tengri now or they now automatically export whether they reformed or not, since my test export of a Zunist game had Germanic Pagans everywhere while everything else was Animist and Shamanist. Has anyone else gotten that? Also, Zunist get the Sunni Islam religious icon for some reason, but I assume someone must have bug reported that already.)

The abbasids are my only real threat in my games. There's a single county to the east of you. You need to attack there first or else an abbasid duke will take it. The next thing you need to do is occupy it but never let them surrender because it keeps the abbasid dukes from attacking you. Next you ned to attack the guy dirrectly north-east of you if you're lucky he'll be called into war against one of the abbasid dukes from the guy in the south and will have lost his troops. Even if he hasn't attack him immediatly or else he'll get enough piety for a holy order. You should have more troops than him if you make all your vassals happy. Use smart positioning and you can take his northern county (the better one) next you need to attack the larger bhuddist north of you with the rest of afghanistans lands. If you're lucky he'll be fighting someone else so just park your troops in the mountains in the county you're attacking over. If you're worried about him calling in a holy order convert to bhuddism. You should be pretty old by now so your heir will reutn the nation to zunism. Next attack them both again and create afghanistan. Now the abbassids will probably attack you. Your only option is concersion but be warned they'll immediatly subjigate you so make sure you don't have land outside of afghanistan or you'll end up with 1 county like i did.


I think the only way to avoid the abbasid blob is to fabricate somewhere far in the north and build a power base there for when you get invaded.

I'll wait until they apply the hotfix to play Zun so I can properly raid and stuff, even if non-fixed gives me ultimogiture. Sounds like they just copied old West African code for Zuns as they could use ultimogiture back in the day :laugh:

On Bug forums, Dev says that Zunbil ultimogiture is WAD as they are meant to be "special pagans". Not sure about raiding and asked about it too.

Cheers again, as an update when it concerns the succession laws for Zunbil, it is WAD.. as they are not concidered true "pagans", the dev team choose to place them in the pagan group but bended som rules for them instead.

The other things have now been added in our internal database.

Being Pagan and Ultimogiture is essentially just Mongols, except these guys sit in mountains of Hindu-Kush instead of galloping hard on the plains :D

Well, I think this makes it more feasible for ruler designers to start as sunworshipping Egypt. I seem to recall Zun chaplain had way higher chance of province conversion than I have usually spotted but I might just been imagining things.

What? I'm talking about festivals and throwing people into the desert. If I play as a Zunist I can do none of those things, presumably because I don't have Charlemagne.
