This growing sympathy for the Masonic conspiracy disgusts me. Freemasonry is a disease that must be eradicated and anyone who do not believe this is lying to himself. The Constitutional Principles Act is one of the sacred pillars of our establishment and shall remain upright and untarnished!

The History of the Viscounts of Saint Hubert

The Coat of Arms of the Viscounts of Sant' Uberto

The History of the Viscounts of Saint Hubert didn't start with Raffaele Alighieri, no, it started in 1363 with Hubertus van Luik, a Dutch hunnter from Liege. Hubertus van Luik was poor, as his family had always been. Thus he became part of a group of mercenaries in the hope to escape the fate of his family. Hubertus quickly became one of the leading officers of the company and was one of the most important advisors of the leader of the company, John Hawkwood. Hubertus fought with the White Company until 1373, when Pope Gregory XI gave Hubertus land near Genoa and the title of Viscount of Saint Hubert as a sign of respect for his deeds for the Papal League. Viscount Hubert I Alighieri of Sant' Uberto (Visconte Uberto I di Sant' Uberto) would serve the Pope and the Guelphs till his death in 1413.

The Viscounts of Sant' Uberto would again respond to the call to arms of the Italians to protect their autonomy in 1494, when King Charles VIII of France sought to conquer the Kingdom of Naples, which had been offered to him by Pope Innocent VIII during a fued with King Ferdinand I of Naples. When King Charles VIII crossed the Alpine mountains into Italy he was met with the Genoese-Aragonese Forces under the command of Viscount Uberto II and Giulio Orisini at Rapallo. They were crushed by Louis d'Orleans and the French Forces, which had been supplemented with Swiss Mercenaries and Uberto was killed. The French forces would march strait to Naples, hoping to secure the claim and thus ending all Italian resistane to it. Uberto's son, Viscount Felice I would, after the disgrace at Rapallo, flee to Rome to organise the defence against French. The Italians, not in small thanks to Felice, unified in the League of Venice, with Felice's arugument that they could be better divided and Italian than unified and ruled by French. Viscount Felice I would become the primary commander of the Papal Force in the League of Venice and would prove vital in the last battle of the war at Fornovo, when the French Forces were defeated and forced to retreat back to France and eventually give up all hope to unify France and Naples under one ruler. The League of Venice, as a sign of gratitude, creat the Order Saint' Uberto, with Felice as its Lord Grand Master, which would be awarded to everyone who fought for the autonomy of the Italian State if they are threathend by Foreign Powers.

After the death of Hubertus I, the Viscounts became loyal servants of the Genoese Republic and most of the Viscounts served as commanders in the Genoese armies. It was not until the 21st Viscount of Saint Hubert that the influence of the Alighieri's began to increase, for the Viscounts were never promoted, because of their anti-French attiude. Viscount Uberto VII became the Marshal of Genoa in 1789, because of his Anti-French position and his Genoese Nationalism, something well liked by the majority of the old elites that had ruled the city since the 11th century, because they feared that the French Jacobins may attack Genoa and destroy the Oligarchy that had existed for nearly 800 years. Viscount Uberto VII wished for Genoese participation in the War of the First Coalition, to prevent French supremacy in Italy, his proposal was accepted but he did not recieve the permission to join the Austrian and Piedmontese Forces in their offensive against the French. After the failure of the Austrian Offensive into France and the French counter offensive into Piedmonte in 1797, Viscount Uberto VII debriefed the Elites saying that Genoa was lost if the French attacked. And indeed, the Italian Army of General Bonaparte attacked Genoa in 1797, meeting heavy resistance of Viscount Uberto and his guards, but after 8 days of constant fighting, Uberto was killed and the Doge Brignole of Genoa surrendered the city. The title of Viscount of Sant' Uberto was declared defunct by the French puppet state of the Ligurian Republic.

56 years later, Raffaele Alighieri finally recieved his family title of Viscount of Sant' Uberto and the land that should have been his years ago. The Alighieri family has risen to new hights, the only question there is now is: how far will they go?

Generale d'Ésercito Raffaele Guglielmo Niccolò Vittorio Maria Alighieri,
22nd Viscount of Sant' Uberto, His Majesty's Chief of the General Staff,
Lord Grand Master of the Order of Sant' Uberto

A crumpled note is delivered the headquarters of the RSL

If One Walks

The King lies dead, a stony effigy to his legacy.
If he took a step from his place of quiet dignity - what would he see?
If one walks, what would he find?

Would he see the flags upon the streets that now bear his name?
Would he see the faces of the women, the children and the lame?
Would he see the parades done in black for a man of changing times?
Or if one walks, would he like to see differing climes?

Would he look out from his place in state and see the golden monocled men that surround his private corpse?
Would he see masked men crying diamond tears for the loss of one of their own?
Would he see the men that give themselves titles continue to give him them?
If one walks, would he laugh or would he cry.

For the worker that tries to earn a decent wage,
For the industrial that tries to earn a decent title,
For the militarist that tries to earn a decent history page,
For the politician that tries to earn a decent nation,
Or even a rabblerouser, whom tries to earn a decent atmosphere of chaos.
If one walks, would he care to see?

Dear Signor,

It was as great a shock as it was an honour today to awake to hear news that I had been put forward for elevation to the peerage in my own right. I was humbled that my public work should have aroused such a desire of recognition, and cannot help but feel that I remain quite unworthy of such a position.

Nevertheless, if your wish is to offer your gratitude for my service in public life over the past three decades, then I shall not be churlish and reject such a proposal outright. To do so would be merely display a gross indecency, after all. Yet I must humbly decline the honour at this time. My main consideration is that of the Chamber, to which I hold so dear an attachment, and to which I still owe a great many of my efforts. I feel that, in order to prosecute these duties to the fullest, they must hold my undivided attention and so remain undiluted by additional demands of the Privy Council and such bodies.

A second matter in my considerations was that of the title itself, deriving its name from a town in Savoy if I am quite correct. While I am, and would be, flattered by a recommendation for any title of nobility, I cannot in good faith accept the name of a place to which I have no connection, and to whose people I hold no bond. I would be, if you will, an outsider merely using the name of Ciamberì for my own personal elevation without having deserved such a privilege. Further, I would be betraying the trust of the dear people of Varazze, whom I have grown to hold in such affection during my near-two decade association with them as their representative in Parliament, and whom I would be abandoning in favour of the citizenry of a far off town.

If after these excuses you remain at all committed to the idea of rewarding any services I may have rendered to the nation at this juncture, then I should be greatly obliged if you would give consideration to a humble proposition. I hope in asking such I am not being too presumptuous. Namely, I would be deeply honoured if the title may instead be granted to my dearest wife, Adelina, without whom I would have undoubtedly not achieved that which I have. My accolades are as much that as they are hers, and so in honouring her you would be doing the the Noble Institution no great disservice.

I pray that you find this letter in good health and spirits, and apologise once again should I have come across ungrateful or forward. I remain greatly honoured by the sentiment, though feel that this would not be the appropriate time for me to accept such a gesture of recognition, or for me to be able to do so without feeling a great many undesirable things.

Please accept this humble expression of my sentiments with the highest regard,

This growing sympathy for the Masonic conspiracy disgusts me. Freemasonry is a disease that must be eradicated and anyone who do not believe this is lying to himself. The Constitutional Principles Act is one of the sacred pillars of our establishment and shall remain upright and untarnished!

-Conte Bonaretti di Nizza, Prime Minister and Marchese di Vittoria
Dante Abandonato Nods his head in agreement " I agree with you Prime Minster..Any person that dare support the Masonic Conspiracy should in my opinion lose all their Property and Possessions and rights in the Kingdom. Since you are right prime Minster.. The Freemasons are nothing more than a Heretic group of people and a Conspiracy and if people wish to support such people then they should have some sort of Consequences from the state. After all would we risk getting in trouble with the holy father if we allowed those that support the heresy which is Free masonry to get away with supporting them ?. No I believe they should be punished for even thinking of supporting such a group.. They should lose everything , But maybe that is because I grew up a Roman Catholic and was taught that we do not accept Heretics no matter what. Am I wrong ? "

Signore Prime Minister, I would appreciate if you did not bring personal affairs into the issue of the masquerade, for your personal security and the longevity of the right. You are not the only one in Sardinia-Piedmonte who may move with vengeance. While I do not agree with Signore del Idra, you must set aside your own sour attitude at his Masonic attempts to derail your most beloved act, an act, may I remind you, that I voted in favor of.

Signor Pedrotti, hold back your tongue of calumny. There is no need for such foolish condescension or contemptuous discourse.

Signor Pedrotti, hold back your tongue of calumny. There is no need for such foolish condescension or contemptuous discourse.
A tongue of "calumny?" What words have I spoken against the character of the prime minister? My only request was that he see fit to open this gran masquerade to individuals regardless of their political leanings. I did not expect my fellow member of I Granrealisti to scurry to the defense of the prime minister when I have not said a single word against him. If you have any ounce of respect for your party, I would advise that you favor your allies over individuals of perceived greater political stature in the future.

Your final statement all but confirms my proclamation. My allegiance is to my principles - and I shall not be bound by a character who believes he holds lordship over the words of party-members. Your "advising" is merely a condescending broadcast of arrogance, which perpetuates an incorrect aura of personal supremacy. Our party must be unswerving in our loyalty to the present coalition, and your preceding comments smell of pique resentment to the Prime Minster. I shall not further infringe upon your honorable integrity, but merely profess that homage to the Prime Minister and his actions is crucial in these days of revolutionary sentiment and liberal encroachment. My scent is keen - and political perfidy is the subtle oder.
