I play scenario in SP without CTDs for many years.
Files in palette folder were overwritten on usual one.
I think troubles with Your files of Units folder,
look there for a good checkup about added ones by You.

Bug for a CTD: BYZ takes many (!) loans with amount = 0.

I think the problem is with two city icons that i made, it's the two red dots, so if you delete those it should work

As cool-toxic said, we should try to test our conection one of these days, so we dont waste time in our first sessions trying to find problems.
I have been watching the events of this game and i have been thinking a bit on them... Apart from historical events, all extra events that were added have nothing more then 1 option to take. Meaning, we have to take that option even if we hate it. And there is nothing we can do about it.
What pisses me the most is that these events give us tremendous DP sliders changes, even if we do not want such. I have seen events giving -3 mercantilism, -3 aristocracy and -3 serfdom in a row. They can be good but it depends on the nation you are playing and how you are doing so.
Spain for example, receives a lot of events giving them inno, free trade and free subjects - exactly what i avoid to do when playing Spain. :wacko:
You sure you cant give more options to events? Having bad asses events that will fire no matter what, with only one option, giving major changes to your dp sliders, is something very radical to have.

Those choices were modified to let AI play better.
DP sliders are best for tech development (pagans, for example).
To decide about host, every player should write about his conn values.

Also, I was under the impression that this game will be hosted via LAN, I know that it can't be done with ear for example. I do not intend to play in this game if it isn't as I do not really like the setup, but is willing to ignore that in order to interact properly with everyone. So unless everyone uses hamachi, I don't want to play.
i dont have much knowledge about hamachi...why couldnt i use it too?

Later I deleted it and haven't its link now. We can have all it or not to use it (just a decision).
Remember that with 10 players in the roster we can start with 6 players, if someone is late or absent or can't join. This game is a GC, I'll help by edits about AI ruling but the game must run.

As for hamachi, just google it, we set up a network and provide password for it. Pretty easy to use

I caugh a virus like this in one of the 2-3 times i used hamachi. And well, do you want me to say what hapened to my hard disk?
And from experience, seriously, this is one of the best game killers i ever saw - you cant offer agreements, speak or do anything with people (in general) that is using hamachi, unless you are using it as well. It is really frustrating when you are in an alliance with someone using hamachi, you invite him to a war, he cant join. You offer him a RM, he CTDs. You offer him a TA, he CTDs. You speak to him, he cant hear you. Etc, Etc.
Lastly, it also causes a lot of instability. To be honest, i wouldnt dare the risks of playing with hamachi - i have seen to many a game ending prematurely due to it.
And, who really needs hamachi? It is only Bodvar IIRC. No offense there Bodvar, but putting an entire campaign at risk just because you need it, is a bit... unecessary.
Cant you open the DMZ (since you use a router), Bodvar? It will leave your computer as vulnerable as hamachi leaves it, and will allow ALL ports to conect into your computer - it will also save us a lot of problems.

@ego, I said I wouldn't play unless everyone uses hamachi, it's not fun for me either.
But cant you really do anything regarding your router? Cant you open the ports for eu2? Cant you enable the DMZ?
Dont you have a manual? Did you try searching google for ways to configure your router?
You must do something about that. You cant stay your whole life with a computer with a router that you dont know how to configure. I didnt know how to configure mine as well, and i had lost the manual, so i had to surf a couple of hours in the internet to find how.
