I don’t think Medioeval Age is the worst one, but only a difficult age: in such situations many actions were demanded to let the Realm stand high. We saw assassins, state weddings, state divorces, abductions, seizures, withdrawals, false documents, abjuring own faith, treasons, plots and revolutions but too few popular elections.
In this campaign there isn’t a place for weak ones, because many AI nations can beat a surrounded human player; skills and experience are needed to play, but it makes my MP games so funny.
Players of my games often became my friends too, because I often moved to understand difficult situations during the sessions; I was available to make edits (losting hours …) and to update my scenario continuously. We wants to play here for some months and I look for a serene athmosphere even if none wants to lose provs or any war; building up a good group of players will make single playing more relaxing.
The map is recent, I passed to WATK AB (made by Cool Toxic) after playing some months on Kasperus map. Every move was and will be made by me ONLY to make more interesting this wonderful game: in fact I never dominate my MP games.
Of course who has intentions to abandon EU II later to play EU III only should not to enter this game. Best wishes to players of the game!

Rules

Obey the GM, don’t offend players, be reasonable, play long term.
Be on time: at least 50 % perms needed to start. Inform GM about an absence at least 24h in advance: it’s not GM’s duty (but an help) to find your sub. Absences in a row will produce Your exclusion.
Rehosting after CTD if at war, on next January if at peace and connected by ICQ, no rehosting if at peace and not connected by ICQ.

Game rules
Never (AI or human) and nowhere map trading.
Humans can have not more than 1 (human or AI) vassal, no limit for AI.
Some not ethical behaviours are forbdden here (penalty is stab -1):
- fake wars with sacking of a capital to go around the map trading rule;
- fake wars to raise other human country’s stab;
- lag bugs-loopholes, lag-merchants, lag colonists, lag fortresses, lag promotions, lag loans;
- privateer spamming or using pirates to stop a load or deny a retreat;
- manu or TP burning by an army during the war both to AI and to humans;
- SPA can’t colonize in ToT’s age free lands marked with portuguese shields;
- not withdrawing armies suddenly from enemy nations after peace just to explore;
- breaking a truce at negative stab;
- releasing vassals during a war;
- not breaking a military access with human player after DoWing him;
- one galley pirate-guard;
- DoWing a human at civil war.

Events rules
No random event - No random religious event
Slept inheritages of Algiers, Bohemia, Burgundy, Hungary, Mameluks. No USA events.
Historical leaders stay (not all), historical monarchs (not all) stay, added fictional leaders/monarchs.
No restriction about explorations, colonizations, trade.

War rules
No human alliances.
Peace offers in 1 war: 3 provs rule from enemy (5 from an alliance) always and everywhere (colonies count for ½, TP for 0, CoT for 2): the GM suggests core provs as first in the peace offer.
No turbo-annexion.
NAP (max 15y) or treaties about fixed borders between humans must be public and respected.
Human player must accept next peace offer at stab -3 with 99 % warscore.
With forced vassalization you can cancel it by DoWing human Lord after 10y (not needed if there will be a deal with him).
Forceconversion of human Nation implies the whole peace offer, so without gaining provs.
Max 1 perm CB for a Country at the start, no core upon humans’ capitals.
Don’t take often too many money from AI about peace to cause AI bankrupt.

Edits/Communications

1 state culture at the start, other ones can be added after annexing its every province.
A conquered prov become a core after 50y possession (no nationalism).
Lost provs won't be more core provs at the end of session.
Moving own capital (and its manu or buildings) in same continent is allowed (cost = 50d) with land connection and positive stab.
Being in time for the session gives deflation 1 %.

Rewards to humans:
- for an AAR reward You can choose among 1 deflation (-1%), badboy reduction (-2), a conversion, money (250d), 1 fortress increasing, 1 DP slider change;
- to 1st player reaching LT = 5: improvement of fortress in capital (+1);
- to 1st player reaching NT = 11: 25 warships;
- to 1st player reaching Trade level = 4: a refinery;
- to 1st player to reach Infra level = 5: badboy reduction (-5);
- for every vanished starting AI nation 100d;
- to 1st player having all medium fortresses: a step in a tech;
- for weaker one in stats is 1000d tech investment + 1 DP slider change;
- for loser in a human war (lost provs, vassalization, …) war indemnities will be 100d/y (or 50d/y + 0.5/y deflation);
- for last ones in known provs and in known CoTs exploration edits.

Okay, if I want to play with this mod, what do I need to download, and what to put where? (I install mods in separate installs btw).

And I believe you should have a look at FAL's ruleset tbh (I like that one), the current set does have a few loopholes IMO.

I think I'd like to play Sweden or Teutonic Order, possibly France, England or Portugal (If cooperable player in Spain) too, but I need to look at the scenario (events, leaders, provinces, etc) first, so that I can find something that suits my style (must be a potensial for beeing somewhat naval oriented).

3 provs by single enemy (AI or human it's the same), 5 provs at max by all enemy alliance in every war, not session.

Hello. I spoke with Elio and i was allowed to play the game as Aragon. There, are, however, certain things i would like to be clarified, and clarify others myself.

First. I know most of you must be wary that i usually had A LOT of problems due to conection. I bough myself a new PC, and even got rid of my old router and got a 100mbit one instead. Internet is the same, but i doubt it was the source of all the problems. Resuming: there are 99,9% chances that my problems are resolved and that i will not cause any more harm to the stability of the game.

Second. Are we really using hamachi? If EVERYONE, uses it, i doubt there will be problems (about stability in-game). Anyway, i must warn you, in case we start playing every session something like 5 years, i will be forced to resign. I doubt it will happen, but since i got really bad experiences from using hamachi, i must tell you in advance.

Thirdly, and perhaps most important. Elio, i never played with you, nor do i know you. You are GMing this game, thus i am compeled to ask you: Are you responsible as a GM, and can i trust on you to enforce the rules? By no means, do i want to offend you. But understand that i really need to know it. I already got enough of games that are a wild west. :p

If your answer to my third point is positive, then, i am in.

However, dont expect all the questions to end. :p
Say that my english is bad, or that i am suffering a brain shortage, or whatever you want, but i got a couple of questions regarding the rules. Please, clarify them.

You say that humans can have only 1 vassal, be it AI or human, but then you say there is no limit for AI? You mean, that the AI can have as many vassals as they want?

Some doubts here as well. War indemnities will be 100d/per year. The "per year" refers to the amount of years the nation was at war, yes? That means, if the looser was at war for 5 years, he will get 2.5 deflation? :eek:

First you say, no humans alliances, then you say that you can take 5 provs from enemy if you have an alliance. I need you, to tell me, what does the term alliance mean to you. I will give an example. France has been at war with Spain, for, lets say, 10 years. In the last years of the war France gets utterly smashed and Austria decides to join (without Spain even knowing). Is Spain forced to share the spoils of war, which are rightfully hers (after all Spain was the one who really beated France) with Austria? If so, who will get the bigger piece?

Sorry for asking so much questions, but i really need to understand them, in order not to break any rule, and not to be caugh off surprise. ;)

P.S. Does Scafogliero and Samilou have ICQ? I would like to conduct diplomacy with them in earnest. :p

Welcome in my game, even if You have so many doubts.
This one is my 3rd game as GM and they reached the end in last years.
I love making a good group of friends in my games and respecting the rules.Castile will become Spain in 1479 by event, so try annexing it. With absence of Castile, no trouble to edit Your TAG to Spain.
I don't think everyone will download Hamachi about connection and so we could have troubles about dialogues. I would prefer usual connection.

At stab -3, warscore at - 99 %, the GM can make for a peace offer and the war ends without a crash of human nation.

After DoWing a human, You should delete military access and after the peace retire troops without exploring lands ...

You have cores at start: if You lose a prov, at session's end You lose core upon it.

A human can choose between money or half money + half deflation.

The peace offer is regarding a single war: 3 from 1 nation, 5 by alliance.
