So one thing I've for a long time thought would be a great addition to the game is a system for POW's, most notably for when you invade with the puppet cb. Something that's kinda sad is how you kinda have to babysit the enemy army and try to inflict as few casualties as possible, especially when for example as Greece you try to puppet Bulgaria. Bulgaria is by no means a manpower powerhouse and killing 100k Bulgarians will kinda hurt them a lot, so in a peace treaty it would be really nice if they could get some manpower back. This also goes for civil wars, take the German civil war for example, it would be really nice that once you win, you're able to reintegrate some of the fascist soldiers back into the imperial army rather than getting some manpower buffs in the focus tree as compensation.

I'm aware that Dan has touched on this in the past and didn't seem very interested, but I think it could be a really useful mechanic, and you obviously don't need to represent it so historically it'd turn into a warcrime simulator.

It does bother me that there is no POW mechanic. If you encircle and deorg 40 divisions, and finally wipe them out, the implication is that you executed all those 200,000 soldiers in the pocket, because surely they're not fighting at zero org. These 200,000 soldiers should be going back to the manpower pool once the war is over.
