Povince with no owner? Aprutium

Hello all

Noticed somehting very strange in my CK2 game since the last update - There is an Aprutium province in the south of italy, I had my eye on ... can't take it because it is now not belonging to anyone ... bug or feature?

If bug how to fix?

playing over Steam, version CK2 v1.06 (AYEV)

That province is new in the 1.06 patch.
If you continue an old game, it obviously won't have an owner, as it didn't exist.

It works correctly for new games. If you want to play an old 1.05 game, you'll have to bear with it (it's the same with the new provinces in west africa).

Maybe you can use the console to give the title to someone?

Open the console with ~ key and type something like give_title (title name here) (charid here)

Sorry but need a little more step by step help on that ... what console? where do i find it?

I was surprised so many updates of version had happened in CK2, without getting a saved game screwed up ... the solution by Paradox for this would actually have been quite simple IMO ... who ever owned before 1 province, that has now been split into 2 ... has now 2 provinces. Off course now i have a perfect incentive to buy the sword of islam: start a new game

Well, apart from this nuisance, it is still a playable saved game ...

I just restarted playing the game and bought Sword of Islam. Ran into the same problem. Did you solve it anyway or gave up?

In order to use the console, use ~ key to start the console and run a command like give_title c_aprutium 1742; where 1742 is the ID of my in-game ruler. Of course it does not work because it has no-one to take it from.

Can someone please advise how to modify the save file? I think it should do it (or is more needed?)... I don't want to start all over again either. Made quite some progress with my old save file.

I remember modding in baronies into the province, effectively activating them in the game into a rebel city and giving it away to someone through the console. However, I don't exactly remember how. I improvised.

This issue has been fixed with patch 1.07.
