(I should have stated earlier that I can't find my savegames folder and my screenshots folder doesn't save my stuff so this will mostly be an AAR by Second Hand information. So The chapters try to detail specific events if not more. So what I'm saying is this will be more of a Fan Fiction than AAR.)
The date is 1436: The Kingdom of Munster* is formed from the cities of lower Ireland.
Two decades later the Kingdom begins it's conquest of the Ire. . .
People were gleefully dancing around Maypoles. Children twisting the ribbons around the pole and pure maidens weaving around in the wind. The smell of the dew on the grass was still fresh in the air (also the stench of liquor) and the celebration continued on it's course. The representative of Connacht walked up onto a stage and raised his stein into the air, invoking a cheer so loud from the crowd it could mask any noise. The Connacht Rep. yelled at the top of his lungs "We are here to celebrate Peace!" the crowd repeated loudly "Harmony!" The crowd did the same for that too. But when the Representative went to speak another word he was interrupted by an arrow piercing his stein and then his eye socket.
The Maypole dance before the disaster
Blood splattered all over the stage as the crowd began to act frantically. Guards began to look for the sniper*, but people blocked their way. A small sized portion of the people didn't flee they just stood there, smiling. A guard approached the one at the Center of the group and asked, "Who 're ye? Cit'zens of Connacht?"
A blade pierced the guard's chest; wrenching the last breaths from him as he fell to the ground. All around the area from alleys, behind merchant stands, and from out of liquor barrels came hundreds of men. All wearing the banner of Munster and all having appeared from out of nowhere. The Citizens froze in fear as the Munster soldiers rounded them up in a small circle in the square as the guards dropped their weapons. Out from the crowd a maiden, not older than 15 stood up to a soldier. Slapping him in the face. Spouting "You will not touch me!", biting the soldier in the arm until he bled. The soldier pushed her away and held tight to the wound. The Maiden made a break for it as she headed towards an alleyway on the west side of the square.
A soldier stepped out of the darkness, bringing out his sheathed sword he smacked her over the head with the leather covered blade. She fell to the ground, cold; The soldier lifted her over his shoulder and signaled a few other soldiers to bring something to them. Out of a main street came ten knights surrounding a prison cart. The cart stopped five feet shy of the soldier. A knight stepped off his horse in order to unlock the cart. "She'll be'a prize f'r th' king to se' 'aint she?" The knight said with a smirk. "Ye she shall" the Soldier replied, loading the unconscious girl onto the cart and stepping out of it.
The Armies participating in the Massacre of Connacht dressed as actors in 'The Odyssey' a play being performed at the Connacht royal theater.
Trails of citizens were escorted into the square by dozens of soldiers as it became appeared to the residents that they had been occupied. Every tenth person of the trails were pulled away and loaded into prison carts; dozens of them had been brought into the square by the Munster soldiers. The atmosphere had changed completely as the celebratory environment they had experienced minutes ago had ended in an instance, replaced with dread and woe.
The people were done being loaded onto carts and they were trucked away. From a distance they could hear the Sergeant calling "Ready!" Women and children began to cover their ears as it continues as so. "Aim!" All the captives stayed silent as the men and women alike braced themselves for the next order. A lone child began to cry for his mother, screeching "Mama!". "Fire!" All went silent in the carts as they left the city on the way to Munster.
[*#1: I do not know when the Kingdom of Munster was founded so this info may be off.]
[*#2: Just a tidbit is I use class descriptions from Final Fantasy to describe archers and such a lot so you'll see some references.]
