What about the posthumous children? In real life there were few cases of succession even if the father died before the child was born, while in CK2 such scenarios end with a game over (or switching to dynasty heir) while the newborn child is for some unfathomable reason considered bastard (even if the mother was spouse of the former ruler).
It probably wouldn't be that hard to implement technically - just don't model pregnancy as some sort of trait, the moment when a notification pops up there should be an actual offspring in a dynasty tree (with hidden stats revealed at birth) that inherits respective titles in the event of it's father's death
