Long story short: I love making video tutorials. It pushes me to learn things myself, before I can give the same knowledge to others.

I've already got a "map editor video tutorials" thread going, as you can see in my signature.


I'd like to know if you have any suggestions or things you're looking to learn in regards of the map editor.


Am I too advanced? Too basic? Is there anything in specific you want to learn? Is the videos too long? Too short?

Shout out! Give me a heads up on wisdom is needed to get you going with your own maps.

I'd like to see let's plays of the different maps. In this way it could give users an idea how it can be accomplished to play those maps with new ideas they may not have thought of.

What you're asking for is actual gameplay with tips on where to place stops, why, and how to tie them together with a route? Am I right?

I would like videos with tips, dealing with a particular problem. Can be short tips on how to make a success transport company. I prefer than explaining the whole missions.

See my case:

I'm still playing the tutorial town, but as sandbox. My reputation is Fantastic with all types of people. My coverage is 86%. My lines are not crowed and they all have green faces. My trams and buses do not get stuck in traffic. And guess what? Few people use my services. 10% is the popularity of my services, and my profit is like 500 per month. I can't get enough money to replace the old trams that break down all the time or to build new lines. I only have this profit because I finish paying a loan. Before was negative.

In this case I need general tips on how to make a good company. Is my ticket too expensive? My lines are too short? Too big? Should I upgrade my stops? And so one.

Like, if you already got success in many games, you know generally what to do and what to not do. TIPS!

Hi,

I would like to have some basic tutorials for tram and metro building.

Please show if it is possible to use multiple lines on the same metro connection. Also apparently you don't need to create a loop for the tracks as the metro train can just go in reverse.

Now this does not seem to work for the trams, so I think I either have to create a circular line or at the end station small circles - but usually these circles also take a lot of space (I have to go round a whole block) and then get stuck with the traffic - if you have a better solution or general tips on how to handle trams please show them!
