Since EU4 forum has the 'post your EU4 empire' thread, why not something similar here?

You can post any aspect of it, after all, each run's goals are different, as are the starting conditions.
Make sure to include as much detail as needed so people understand your toil, your awesome achievements, or whatever you want to share.

I'll start on 1st comment (or later if someone beat me to it)

My 1st run was as Hamburg on easy (still learning the game). Version is 1.1.2
Here are the snapshots of country summary from various points in the game. (some snapshots are right at turning points, some are just arbitrary depending on when I change my save running number)

1836, the Industrialists were already the dominant power at game start, with Intelligentsia in 2nd place, so while lacking in power, Hamburg was ready for reforms right at start.
1856, I became a minor power by becoming 3rd leading producer of arts, so I could select 1 region of interest, and I chose La Plata and started colonizing Buenos Aires.
1868, arbitrary checkpoint here.
1880, also arbitrary, Buenos Aires was done and I was colonizing Patagonia.
1888, I got Shaozhou from Qing when I declared for Tidore West Papua. Got 9.2 pop from Shaozhou so after fixing economy, I hatched a plan to break free from British market. (was protectorate so I could access goods and immigrants)
1899, I already broke free from Britain (with help from other powers, not on my own), but was still trying to roll back the socialist reforms that were used to attract immigrants, in order to recover a positive balance.
1911, before and after I unified (Greater) Germany. I got Austria out of leadership by owing obligation to Italy, then I got Prussia out of leadership with Austria's help, then it was just a matter of getting back into positive relations and attitude again.

The goal after Unification then was set to maximize population.
Then second pic is at end date. 1 is when I got Shaozhou, a big jump at the time but minuscule by game end. 2 is at German Unification. 3 is when I annexed India.

This is my current Germany. The Screenshot was taken when I finally got half the world population under control for the Hegemon achievement.

It's 1908 and as I need to finish the game for the achievement I'm currently going for the rest, too.

Construction is at ~3500 and I could grow even more and faster but there's no point. My army is at about 1k and navy at 400. There's no need for more

My first 1.1 game. I would like to say I've brought peace and prosperity to my new empire, but in reality;
2022_12_24_2.png

I've mostly brought them fascism, death and depression. SoL is pretty high though.

Obviously playing with a lot of mods, personally also modified excess Bureaucracy to give extra Authority for Decrees. Didn't make a huge change in terms of balance since I've been using tanks since 1902 - last time I needed conscription was in the 1870s.
2022_12_24_3.png

Armed Forces went for Communism, Trade Unions for Ethno-Nationalism and Intelligentsia for Fascism. A fairly amusing combination to be honest.

Only taken 7 runs as Lower/Upper Canada and each time as soon as I get things rocking the UK seems to get into trouble and then sell all its ports tanking my economy. At least I think that's what is going on I've only got 15 hours into the game so far so I might just not understand the mechanics.

It's scary how unbelievably easy the game can be if you just convince a major to help you bum-rush China in the first decade. It would've been a world conquest if not for the fact that the final 30 years are insufferable with lag even on an i7-12700k.

The fact we can do this at all is disgusting though.

Had a Lanfang run, cracked down Dutch East Indies and it's minions, unified Indonesia and reinstate Hinduism and Buddhism as mainstream religion.

I also took the provices with Hakka population from Qing, puppeted some Indochina states, but didn't try to conquer Philippines because not bother to mess with Spain.

Here is my Gran Colombia circa 1934, Its been a fun game, but I'm frustrated that I'm going to just barely miss two achievements. Ill miss the Gran Colombia achievement because I waited too long to annex my puppet Argentina and then they lost the war of the Pampas had a succession of the Mapuche in Patagonia. While I immediately puppeted Mapuche, I wont be able to start annexing until December 14th 1935 womp womp. I also integrated too many new states which dropped my literacy below 90 meaning I wont get the Egalitarian achievement either this run.

Anywho Ill say why this game is fun. You have decent resources at your disposal as New Granada, however it can be difficult to take Ecuador and Venezuala as I find they are almost always protected by a great power. Hence my strat was to become a great power myself and modernize my military before taking them on. I focused on putting all my factories in Cundimarca and boosting resouce production in Antioquia, the two states essentially powered my whole game.

I focused colonizing efforts on the Pacific, Kanak is really useful for the lead and Celebes was really useful for the Tea.

I liberalised my country and by the 1860s i was receiving mass immigration and began booming population and GDP wise. By 1880 I felt I was big enough to begin throwing my weight. It just so happened this was right when my trade unions and rural folk became Vanguardists and the rural folk lead the communist revolution by threatening a revolt unless I passed Council Republic. So I RP'ed as a revolutionary communist state setting up regimes (puppeting) the states around me.

The most interesting part of the Grander Colombia achievement is having to fight the UK, Netherlands and France for Guyana (and the south Atlantic islands) these essentially became a series of WW1 in my game as I started these wars so late and brought in variously Germany, France and the USA to help me out.

Interestingly France didn't take number one spot, but Austria did, largely because the USA lost to Mexico and then Austria invited them to their market. Also Germany formed on their own this time, which was the first Ive seen. wooh.

If it's hard to tell, I also own Hawaii and the Philipines.

Fun Game and I got the achievement, also the one for 1 Billion GDP:
20221214040728_1.jpg20221226101455_1.jpg

Some other stats of my run:
20221226122730_1.jpg20221226122753_1.jpg20221226122850_1.jpg20221226122852_1.jpg20221226122858_1.jpg20221226122904_1.jpg20221226122931_1.jpg20221226123647_1.jpg

Mostly went for Central America and Caribic first while getting up my relations with the US.
They began damaging it when they got their claims and, man, their national militia numbers can be hard. But I withstood and they demolished themselves against me by going bankrupt in 2 wars.
In the end they became a minor power.

I'm allied to Brazil now and Great Quing and Japanese Shogunate.
Was a Pariah around 1910 when going for the last 3 states needed for the achievement as I wanted them incoorporated at game's end as a goal of my own having all my states incoorporated.
And missed the goal as I forgot to incoorporate Arizona and only saw this in 1934... welp :p

Some other stuff which happened, like building the Panama canal or reaching the South Pole and exporting "Mexican Muscle Cars" to the US market or having the prohibition in Mexico:

Also, most cursed thing I've seen so far in Vicky 3:
20221226001507_1.jpg
Yellow Prussia... and it's a Anarchist Commune!

My next run will probably either a redo of Gran Colombia or forming Germany as my Home Region of Nassau.

Started as Prussia.

1845, full annexed Austria part of the German unification:

Slowed down a bit after that. Got kind of lazy, 1889:

managed to do a WC, but not fully 1-tagged. forgot to get a map shot, (edit: found it, WC 1 play from complete, just need Hunan, in October 1933, not particularly fast:

Here's 1936. It was only like my 2nd or 3rd campaign so I hadn't quite mastered how to encourage AI to give in to demands vs not, when I want. But I think I was also hamstrung a bit by my puppets having insanely bad economies and thus being forced to stop my own foreign policy in order to defeat 100 communist partisans in Norway or something.

(assimilation, lol? in 1936 there are more Germans than Han Chinese.... sure. Sure. why not.)

Tried to "Learn the game" (Achievement) as Qing. Got bored waiting for the end date. Game spiraled out of control ever so slightly...
