OK. I was using photobucket so far because it is easier to upload more than 1 picture there. But havent seen any option for thumbnailed version of image there...

I've a contender for smallest attempted empire

As Sicily, I owned most of the Italian peninsula (only missing the floating bit off the bottom on the boot and a couple of provinces to the north), Franche Comte (during the short war I had with Burgundy, who have taken over most of France), and a few colonies in the new world

Like I said, smallest attempted empire. I'm a n00b  I would post screenshots, but that was in 1.0, and I want to play 1.1 now, so I've kind of fallen out with that game (Also because I only learned in 1720 that Sicily CANNOT unify Italy  ). Now I'm playing as Brandenburg, and already have an empire twice the size of my Sicilian one :)

I'll keep ya'll posted ;)

Hi guys,

Along the same idea of wackiest screenshots, I'd like to do something with these screenshots as well. It's a great way to let people see EU III in action and what gamers are actually doing when playing the game. If anyone objects to having their screenshots publicized on gaming sites, let me know. Otherwise keep on posting and I'll prepare something fun around this :) .

But I don't know, did anyone do a complete WC yet? I have a vague memory of someone saying so, but I can't recall.
WC's have been completed that I know of but not under terms that would be fair to this thread (i.e. VH difficulty in v1.0 or v1.1). Somebody with way too much time on his hands (not I, these days) will probably post a "first official WC" post one of these days, if it hasn't already happened. The game is not substantially harder than EU2 in that regard (some would probably say easier, though I would disagree, at least where low-tech one-province minor WC is concerned), so it is only a matter of time.

Visit site
I was in Turkey last year for a legal matter, havnt been there in 13 years prior to that visit. only people that had INET access were university students I knew, now, you have multiple broad band providers in every city. I had a apartment in Izmir and was amazed to see I had more service provider choices in that city then I did in Arizona. Also Adana is only a craphole if you have no clue about getting out and about to see the country. I lived in Adana and actually went to grade school at Incerlik AFK, and there are quite a few nice places to see, or go to the beach not far from Adana. Mersin for example...some of the best seafood resturants are NOT found on the beaten tourist tracks ;) but rather in the small coastal towns. At any rate its good you never lived in Adana when I did, gypsy caravans would camp the base gate, there was no micky D's...and you actually had to interact with people there... ;)

Much easier but anyway :)

I might make it with Ming. I can't say I am going to get all the grey provinces but if I really want to gamble for WC I probably could get everything. Its about 1515 and I am into Poland and pushing omen in the south. The annoying thing is i've destroyed Russian building nations, which is going to mean I have to colonise it all or release a vassal to do it.

I wasn't going for a full WC, I was going for a full WC minus my own religious groups in the Indus. So I might of become too large though now, meaning I can't fight my own religious grouped nations in time (pausing for stability inbetween wars) unless one of them takes over most of the indus or I hope a muslim group annexs most of them which looks possible, maybe if I support them any way I can without going to war. I could play gamey and go for stability events with oversea's colonies but I don't like doing that much. (one of the few things I won't do for victory is manipulate the event engine)

I could open up a few more borders with nations in the Indus that don't like me very much, bb might do the rest.

Anyway i'll have screenshots soon, probably in the next 100 years game time.

I could have made it with France in my current game, if I actually set out to do it from the very beginning. I've got all the provinces in the Americas, and the only European nations still there are a 1 prov England in Ireland and a 2 prov Sweden. I've also soon eradicated all the orthodox provinces, making it easier for me. It's nearing on 1700 though, and I don't know if I could take Asia (and Africa, though that wouldnt take long) in time.

Might as well post screenies.

Does this means you will not write an EU3 WC AAR ever? :( That would be too bad (but entirely understandable of course).

Your AARS have also been very entertaining to me, even the Galactic Civilizations one (as I haven't ever played the game). It would be a pity if your AAR writing days would be over.

There are still gypsies around Incirlik AB during certain times of the year. McDonalds is an embarrassment to Americans. Seafood is gross! The majority of Turkish coastline is rocks and pebbles. Very few sandy beaches (although still beautiful.) My internet in Tucson was probably 40 times faster and 90 times more reliable. Adana is still a craphole and any Turk that does not live in Adana will back me up on that statement and half the people living in Adana as well!

However I never said anything about the area surrounding Adana of which you do not know exactly how much I have seen to make any type of judgment.

/way off topic!

Probably. Might end up writing one in a vacation sometime, but not anytime soon.

I'm happy to have entertained you, but given that I even had to abandon (or put on very long hold, take your pick) my 2nd GCII AAR, you can guess how much time I have to devote to writing these days. (Continous time being the issue - there's lots of spare time lying around in smaller chunks, just not useful for getting into the right mindframe to write a decent story-based AAR). My most likely place to pop up again with AARs willl be if we get another good multiplayer AAR game up and running once MP is playing smoothly, since those tend to require substantially less time to write (as most chapters consists of writing, in character, why the other players' characters are right bastards and ungrateful ones to boot, and that one's own character is a model of restraint and proper behaviour - while at the same time writing of the joy of the backstab by one's own willing hand and bloody knife)

You heard her! (I think it's a woman anyway :D) I don't mind WC's, but how much can you conquer, keeping your BB to appropriate levels? (less than 20) People do it but when they're done, they get insane BB, like 80 or something, then all the minors that DOW you get devoured. I'm starting a new thread as well on something else; but keep going :)

In my latest game, I expanded far more faster than I thought because of some happy coincidances. Now I'm in year 1560.

I have all germany, west poland, north italy, burgundy and lorraine are my vassals and they have all the holland, alsace-lorraine, switzerland and dauphine.

I annex INCA. My cities extend from Panama to Rio Grande from the south of TI. I control all the shores from North of Lenape. I have many islands in indian & atlantic ocean. I have California and south of the cotton belt.

The best part is I formed GERMANY and my reputation is now below 18. My biggest enemy is CASTILLE which controls the rest of cotton belt and northwest africa, yet I intend to give them a real headache.

I will send the Screenshots by 1700. then by 1780.

At the moment i play with spain on normal diff (year 1721,castile startyear 1453). I have about 500 provinces. Vassals r Great Britrain, Sweden, Kazan, Novgorod, Turkey, Vatican, in Europe, the last states in europe. Further Persia, Mamluk, Timurid, Suhaeli,Maledives,Jemen,Oman, the states in india, and soon china as Vassal. I guess with 1750 i re annex vatican, and then i guess i will rich about 800 provinces till 1792. At the moment i have 2000 income. 900 tax, 1100 production, and 0 trade income. But soon in Europe will only one state remain and then my trade income will raise. ( at moment, vatican has 160, sweden 150 and GB 130 income).
