1595 - The Knights
Initial game was attacking Granada and grabbing Gibraltar. Later grabbing Granada itself and selling it to Castille, and using the money to by a trading Empire. I had Malta defect to me, and then became leader of an Italian alliance (how, I have no idea, I only had 2k troops) against Naples, whom I took a territory from, and vassalised, later annexing. Took Ceuta, Tangiers and almost all of Aquila aswell. Then I colonised my way to the new world. Strangely, the Ottomans never attacked me once. They warned me a few years before I switched over, but no actual declaration of war. Though, being guarenteed by Castille did help. Then again, OE lead a PU with the Golden Horde for 50 odd years, so they had no shortage of military might, althugh that didn't stop them getting owned by England later on. I got a boundary dispute on Mayas capital and relocated there, selling all my European provinces except Malta and the Azores.
From then on, it was just colonisation and killing pagans. Though, I did use rebels to force-convert myself to Protestant . The colonist loss is annoying but with Colonial Ventures it really doesn't matter too much. The 10% production and tax bonuses hepled my income though.
The Brits gained several American provinces which I took, and Castille took much of the Acadia/Labrador/Newfoundland area, which I took in another colonial war (which gave me Madeira and the Baleares aswell from Portugal and Aragon, both provinces with Universities). Norway recently dared to think they could have a colony along the north Canadian coast, along with the Brits once again. They were allied, so I DoWd Norway, took that colony from them, aswell as Iceland, then grabbed the colonies from the Brits aswell as grabbing the Western Isles. Along the years, I also let them set up many Caribbean colonies, only to DoW and steal all of them when they reached 500 or so pop.
Aims from now on are to colonise the West coast (later the entirety of NA), and i'll probably end up wanting South America. I also aim to control the British Isles, and then launch a Crusade on Japan and Indonesia.
Strangely, the French have had 5 NIs now and haven't picked up GFTNW at all. Seems they were just content blobbing in Europe for the first 150 years. Also, those strange blue bits around Europe are pretty much all France. Rhodes (sold to em

), Cyprus, Palermo, Croatia and Danzig have all been annexed by them in various wars. They've been ominously quiet the past 50 years though. Other strange things include Tver taking over most of Novgorod and leading a PU with Sweden, who got owned by Denmark, who instigated the Protestant reformation. Lithuania and Hungary are also vastly overpeforming themselves. Rajputana only 20 years ago controlled all of India, then they went bankrupt and collapsed. Venice were doing well, but then they get dragged into a war with France and cede most of their gains. I have no idea why they don't take Rome though and form Italy. No-one is guarenteeing the Papacy at all, and they have all the cores required, even Rome. Oman is also vastly overperforming itself, and recently they've taken Jerusalem to go with Mecca. Edit: By the way, that blob above Oman isn't all Persia, Syria emerged and have since done pretty well for themselves. Think they might hold Montengro and that area still. They held most of Greece earlier!
