Here's my game in 1605:
And again in 1637:
A particularly blobby game. I've drawn a line to show the boarder between Persia and the Golden Horde (who are still surviving despite being tribal and being that size). I've mentioned who I'm playing as below, but feel free to guess without reading. It was probably less obvious earlier in the game, but there are a lot of blobs who could easily be player controlled!
Some interesting developments in the east. Japan inherited Manchu, becoming a powerhouse and playing power politics in China. Some provinces defected to Korea in the south too (damn religious rebels), so Korea started messing with China too. This caused Ming to collapse and Qin was formed with all but two of Ming's provinces (so a dynasty switch basically). Then later as Sukhothai (me), Korea and Japan carved up Xia, Xia itself collapsed and the Ming dynasty was restored, with Ming gaining all but two of Xia's original provinces! However by this time I was on the warpath, so the restored Ming dynasty hasn't got long left.
I've got an incredibly successful Persia to my west, which I'm not sure I want to deal with or not. I've westernised so it'll be like a hot knife through butter (my wars in China were a LOT of fun), but the size means I'll have to be careful of attrition (I have a lot of non-core provinces from my recent Chinese aquisitions so WE would cause a lot of rebels).
Europe looks interesting. Venice has been going to war with the Papal States every few years or so, but just doesn't seem to want to annex them, which is a shame. Other than news of a few wars between the east and west of Europe, I haven't paid too much attention.
