My England to GB on Terra Nova in 1495. So far I'm the only coloniser, I annexed the entirety of Ireland diplomatically (go me! ) and I've dismantled France at the cost of 16% inflation and a decade-long hit-and-run war followed by a more or less symmetrical war and finally one or two where I had the advantage. I'm currently colonising and working to break up Burgundy whenever they DoW me, inflation is down to 13% and falling thanks to advisors and the National Bank



And here's the unholy mess that is the remains of France:



I took Vlaanderen in that war, since then Burgundy have been going serially bankrupt but last time I looked at the France region they were still wielding those megastacks

I appear to now be leading a personal union with Milan...time to paint the world red methinks. Plus France got all resurgent (I think that they must have acquired an army from rebels breaking them), managed to take a few bits out of Burgundy and annex Champagne then ended up in a PU with Castille, we've got all the makings of quite an interesting Anglo-Castillian war

no, Norway's capital is in iceland, planning to take out the entire scandinavia in some future wars.

I can't really expand in Europe at the moment because I have to be constantly on the look out in Asia due to rebels and The Golden Horde. The Mamluks and Persia used to do that also but you see what became of them.

Playing as GH, year is 1543 and I just completed Westernizing (in latin group now). 105K Troops, Ming has 170K and have me warned.. reputation is around 15/30. OE collapsed and eventually the Byz rose but I have reduced them to a OPM. In a rather difficult point since Ming is pressuring me from the East and Hungary and other nations from the west (Hungary has the same amount of troops that I do). Shouldn't be that big of a deal in a couple of years once my tech catches up. Mamulks and I are allied at the moment however..

World in 1728. I'm playing with my Terra Universalis mod, that has boosted national ideas, so it is not surprising to see this almost all colonized world.

I'm playing with the UK of Portugal and Brazil, that is the white blob everywhere. Note that I own a part of Italy but I border Austria, and our colour are similar (however Austria has only european provinces). As part of the formation of the UK of Portugal and Brazil I changed my capital to Rio de Janeiro, that helped to make my colonization faster.

As you can see the major powers are me, France, Castille and Great Britain. A second tier world powers are the Mamluks, the Ottoman Empire, the Timurid Empire and Manchu.

-France is France, but I'm happy to see that my anti-bbb triggered modifier made France somewhat lesser evil. Now it laughs at Austria (instead of ignoring Austria...).
-Castille tasted the French armies, but they survived and established an empire.
-Great Britain followed its natural path, isolated and colonizer.
-The Mamluks discovered that owning Africa until the old Mutapa empire is fun.
-The Timurid Empire is the terror of central asia. I must conquer India. Before them.
-I'm very happy to see that Manchu owned Ming (of course that owned = wait until Ming collapses and annex all small ex-ming nations), history is followed here!
-The Ottoman Empire. Not only they own half Italy, but they keep Austria in a respect position. And I was very surprised to see they colonized half Siberia (they are now facing me in Italy and Siberia - I do not want war because they have chosen all land ideas until now).

Here's my Byzantine Empire around 1800. It is the result of my efforts to restore the Roman Empire.
I started out as Mecklenburg, got a lot of military acceses, and then i conquered the Byzantine Empire, the Ottoman Empire, and all of the petty greek states. Then I changed the capital to Thrace, the primary culture to greek, religion to orthodox and finally I became the Byzantine Empire with latin weaponry. Every single province of mine is Orthodox.
Needles to say, I rule the world.
