I was playing a game as France, and cheated to fire the storming of the Bastille event in the 1780s to spice things up a bit. This was the result:
One important thing you can't really tell from these screenshots is that Savoy and Portugal have fled to the colonies. Savoy's capital is in Timbuktu, and Portugal's is in Connecticut.
I have about 20 tech levels on EVERYONE (and 30 on Russia!) somehow (reminds me of my first AAR), so I've been pwning. This one in particular is impressive:
Yep, outnumbered 5 to 1 and completely crushing the enemy. Napoleon, eat your heart out. Well, this doesn't help:
141% Discipline. I've had it higher, but not much. In this game, it really helped that I was able to trigger L'etat c'est moi really early (like early 1500s early), so I've had a major advantage all game. The naturally 100% tradition is nice too.
My NIs are pretty nice too:
And I converted to Protestantism just to make things extra interesting:
Finally, I have de facto wiped out the HRE (all the territory is still there, but there aren't any electors or members):
So, overall quite a fun game. I've got around 25 years left, and with my very favorable NI and manpower situation, I think I can pretty much conquer Europe. I'm certainly going to
try.
