Definitely the orange thing. The rest of the world is within normal bounds of randomness that we frequently see. That ornage thing is just a monster where the AI usually fails.

Yea. And that orange thing is Yemen! I think Arabia is one of the hardest places to start out in, because all your provinces suck and you are immediately faced with the Mamelukes, which stand between you and westernizing. Its now 1700, but I can't really play anymore. The Europeans keep pounding on me one after another. As soon as I've fought one down to a standstill another one jumps me. They are all still way far ahead in technology...

not much to say about this game BE is decently strong, but they lost most of the balcan peninsula in 2 wars, france is dead 150% inflation :rofl: after i broke them i think they went bankrupt 5 times in a row
castile has 120 provinces, me 170, income difference is 5x bigger, inflation difference is 10x times (me 2% they 21) troops is 5 to 1(10 to 1 if we count only european troops)
just hope i can do a WC, people need the lebensraum

The Ottomon Empire, circa 1513, after an extended BB war against the once great Burgundy. Originally I had intended to take things slow and successfully had done so for the first 80 years - until continued annexation of rebel states drove my BB way up and made me a delicious target for those mighty OPMs. Burgundy used to be a very massive blob sharing half of France with, well, France, until aforementioned France (which, might I add, was ruled by French Ruler and King of France King Frenchie) decided to severely weaken the inferior wine-producers.
Unfortunately my BB is now above 50, so I failed my goal of taking it slow. Not really all the impressive of a an expansion for such a long time, but I'm happy with it. Empire and vassals outlined in green.

I see that you have expanded since your last pic, as have the Venetian and Prussian colonial empires.

Venice is scaring me because I really want to take Rome and Naples, both guaranteed by Venice who have a far better army than me.
I'm sort of new at this, but I figure I'm doing okay as Italy in 1586. Playing with random lucky nations on IN 3.2. This game produced some interesting anomalies I don't recall having seen before. I've pushed into to the Black Sea region and might start driving through northern Asia. Having converted to Protestantism, I forced the Papal State to move to Wurzburg. Excommunication is great until it happens to you every time you get a new monarch.
Burgundy has taken France and a whole bunch of others to the cleaners and stymied my chances of expanding west. Luckily they and the Hungarians haven't paid any attention to me. The Mamluks have Westernized and taken over the Middle East - they don't like me very much and separate my two Caspian provinces from the others. Naples is a bit of a pain because they control most of Greece, but in truth they haven't been very high on my priority list. The turquoise thing just above my Black Sea provs and what's left of the Golden Horde is Crimea for some reason.

This is my Burgundy --> France game in 1778.
Interesting bits about this game:
-Haiti was the first American country to obtain its independance.
-OE is way ahead of everybody in tech (10 lvls ahead of me, UK, spain, etch)
-The golden horde has thrived as a nobles republic.
-Imperialist Japan is starting to show its teeth.
-Milan and UK were colonial super powers that I slowly clobbered in a painful agony. Meaning that I attack them, increasing WE, lowering stability and continuously funding rebels.
-I could go on playing, but I spend more time fighting rebels than anything and I feel like starting a new game
-It was my first colonization kind of game, and I messed up a bit. I could have done a lot better to colonize NA before spain took all that land.

I started this in 1812 just so I could be Revolutionary France, found I was at war with Portugal, and seized all their provinces except the ones in Africa. Then Austria DoWed me, so my allies and I crushed them too. Then I trained for 100 days in every province in modern day France and ended up with 130 THOUSAND new infantry. I invaded Westphalia (they were being very rude and annoying) and Denmark and annihilated both. End of Game:

Personally, I don't think that's bad expansion for 9 years, especially for someone who never played past 1600.

France has been ganged up on for the last 200 years. I feel bad for them.

What I find most interesting is that the OE very nearly has historical borders!
