babysitting africa

2n3ce1.jpg

2ninzib.jpg

it's 1455 and omg 90% of my time is spent babysitting africa even tho i've converted all but one or two of my provinces to catholic and they've become my accepted culture. aggggggggggh. and i set the rebels to non-smart, non-reinforcing, non-resilient. and still all i do is fight rebels. agh. i'll think i'll try playing as a trading nation. can that be fun?
i'm aquileia and due to my bad rep and no royal marriages my relations with france, castille and pretty much everyone else are -180. i guess theocracy isnt perfect. i've been warring for last 10 years with the ottomans, them sending stacks to italy or africa and me decimating them. but portugal and aragon first destroyed hungary and now they're all over castille. and the first time i even looked at france they already ate up burgundy. the blob warned me 5 years ago. i guess they gotta go down next. i have the northern and southwest med but no navy, like 5 cogs. its really funny having my armies march from napoli to gibraltar and then transporting them with my "navy." LOL
there's nothing to do but lay low. i'll be able to form italy in 10 years.

Here's a bit of a novelty game :p

Ming 1565

mingrus1565.jpg

And 88 years later...

mingrus1653.jpg

It is a Hindu Russia!

Fought my way overland straight to Sweden (now Scandinavia) to westernize (3x -5 stab). Converted to Hindu (-5 stab). Moved capital to Taiwan , then to Moscow (2x -4 stab). Released Xia, Oirats and some other Chinese state to make Russian provinces more numerous than Chihan. Culture shift (-5 stab). Form Russia.

Total stability cost for my silly ideas so far: 33. At least temples are good investments this game :p

Currently I control all the provinces I need to form Germany, I'm waiting for cores. If I have enough time I'll try to form France after that.

I wish someone would turn that into a history book-style narrative AAR... just to see how desperate they'd get trying to explain anything.

That game of yours, Junuxx is awesome!

I wonder if theres somebody that tried to form as many nations as possible. Is anybody aware of something like that? The best I know is somebody that formed the Netherlands, Prussia and Germany, but that's shouldnt be the hardest thing to do.

There was a guy that started as Portugal, formed Spain, formed England, formed GB, then finally formed Scandanavia.

I think that would be Herbert? He sure chained a lot of nation formations. But I haven't heard of Ming>Russia, or any Hindu Russia before.

Another OPM turned into a major power (IN 3.1)…
My Munster republic in 1660, right before the colonial wars began:
EU3_MAP_MNS_1660113_1.jpg

…and the Ireland republic a century later (1753):
EU3_MAP_IRE_1753627_1.jpg

The Northern and Central Americas are Irish lands with only two enclaves belonging to Castile. The South America is split between Ireland and Castile (for now…). Portugal was kicked out from America and went to colonize the East Indies instead. France also lost its colonies in America and never blobbed. England dared to challenge the celts and lost almost all, including the home island. A strange thing happened in Asia. Ming blobbed as usual, conquered Manchu, went west till was neighbor with Russia and then at some point became Manchu?!. They were at some point at -2 stability and at war with Japan but switching completely?

Ottoman Empire 1600 IN 3.2
eu3maptur1610542.png

I didn't want to cheat but I had to... due to some mistakes in setting the treasury slider (thus triggering automatic loans) and an early huge war when I dowed Athens who was being guaranteed by everyone, i ended up taking about 8 loans and having an inflation of 40% by mid XVI century, so i cut it to 20%. After a war with Egypt also the badboy skyrocketed to 31/30, and since i find ahistorical to gain badboy by eliminating the Mamluks who pretty much were hated by even their own subjects, i halved it to 15...

I westernized and I'm fully centralized and innovative, so stability costs are huge (plan to get the NI that reduces them). Almost every province is muslim (except 2 or 3 in Italy), accepted cultures are greek and lombard (lost bulgarian). I'm allied with Great Britain since many years, and I switch alliance between Castille and Scandinavia (sometimes one of the two doesn't want to ally, but the other wants), had to spend a lot of money improving diplomatic relations, but it's needed to keep France at bay. I lost about 3 wars against France but won the last one and got Firenze and Modena, and since then they never attacked again (but issued a crusade against me). Now France's got the Quest for the New World and started colonizing.

The other major powers are Portugal, Timurid Empire, Novgorod and Ming. I love lucky nations because it really helps to create a balance of power...
My next options are to either start a huge war against France before it's too late, hoping Castille and Great Britain will join, or conquering eastern Africa and from there maybe Iran and India... what do you suggest?:p

My Byzantine Empire, 1726:

I have been trying to play in a moderate style, not annexing too much at a time and not building up my badboy too much either (though it fairly shot up after I started conquering India). Nonetheless, now that my armies are so ridiculously good (probably only France and Austria could match me for military strength, though not for naval strength), I'm thinking of having a reputation blow-out and annexing as much as I possibly can. Now that I have Italy I find that I don't even need to invest in government tech - it's great!

In addition to my Mediterranean territories I have Mecca (now Orthodox Christian!), Somalia, Kenya, the Maldives, Diego Garcia and much of Southern India. I have a couple of colonies in Indonesia, but they are developing only very slowly and with much investment, so I'm wondering if it's really worth it to colonise there. Moreover, it's already being dominated by France and Castille.

The whole world, 1726:

Yeah, I'm trying to stay on Austria's good side. That really would be the war to end all wars, if it kicked-off!

i KNOW a guy named Cris, he's a Pole in an English school, so he spams the air with KURWA's and nobody understands him :D It's awesomeness

Yo same here in Venezuela, I can constantly swear in English (as it is my first language, rather than Polish) and nobody understands me which is pretty freaking cool. Only my friends understand because I tell them.

'Hey that girl has a nice ass'
friends: 'SI! Muy buena!'
