Here's nearly two centuries into my bid to restore and bring to greater glories the Almohad Empire.

The year is 1502.

I was lucky in the beginning, France declared war and I got the "take-Scotland" mission, I formed GB 1409.

Then France and Castille fought for some years, I invaded them both.
Their war ended when I annexed France.

My goal is to take Mexiko and then let my vassals Portugal and Castille take the rest of the new world.

My Byzantine Empire, 1465. I started with a DoW on Naxos, Knights and Achaea. After annexing them, i funded patriots all over the European part of OE, Crete, Corfu and Cyprus. When about four regions (plus corfu, crete and cyprus) had joined me, i DoW'd OE.

Golden Horde exploded in around 1450's, also TO collapsed in 1430, releasing Prussia which is now a superpower. Castille forms Spain soon, at least they soon get the cores.
With me and my vassals:

I had just annexed Georgia. Najd is my vassal because i'll later cancel it and then DoW. This just prevents them from doing anything.
Next target is probably the western african nations.

Try to conquer to link your lands in the Black Sea first, and if I were you I'd go for India, Indonesia, Australia, Japan and China in that order after you finish Najd.

Crap is that Prussia in northern Russia? That's the first time I've ever seen Prussia expand without awakening the beast that is Lithuania. Fastforward four hundred years and we might just see the United Empire of Germany and All The Russias.:rofl:

Hmm, i guess i'll take Arabia first (Oman, Yemen, Najd) and then go north and meanwhile take Italy. Last week i just finished my India game, i want to go to Europe & Russia for a change.

Now all thats in my way is the Iriqous.

Update on my Byzantine game (i have modded the game so that core gain is 30 years to make it more interesting):

I was really lucky and inherited Poland and Hungary while i was pushing towards the east. Now i'll hold up for about 30 years, to reduce my BB (went really high, only one point from my limit) and increase tech.
Also i need to convert the provinces.
Prussia is collapsing.

My grand French Kingdom, 1621. I've been HRE since 1500AD, and sharing Papal Controller with Austria. Austria are my trusted allies, and together we have broken up Europe and the middle east. I have always been careful to join their wars, no matter how trivial. As you can see, I have grabbed the new world's best territories. Because I destroyed Castille and Portugal and England early I have been the only coloniser.

I am not trying for a WC, I don't want that. I'm doing a leisurely expansion, building up my territory and resources. I'm many tech levels ahead of anyone else, and I have 27,000 gold in the treasury. I'm having enormous fun.

That white blob in modern day Iraq is Austria - I gave them that to break up a rampent Persia. Rather they have it than me, it's pretty worthless land! I have conquered Mecca and Judea, so I have permanent 100% prestige. I also have a literal army of vassals that fights my sieges for me, while I send in the cavalry and wipe out the enemy.

I might grab those last native kingdoms soon as well before 1650. As I said, I am not interested in colonising 100 grain and fish provinces in America - I have grabbed all the caribbean islands and provinces with good resources.
